All of the better performing sides have just constant and direct attack , forcing the opposition or getting the opposition to back peddle and subsequently continually applying pressure . Apart from maximizing ruck meters . Manly just can 't seem to manage this simple type of game plan even with key forwards such as Paseka and Alioia out , Jake is not a tackle buster or has high level go forward but good contact and quick play the balls as a prop does suffice . Sipley with a rare good break last night , occasionally Marty with a strong burst , Keppie has dropped back , just does not cut it to compete with the better or any side , D C E and now Walker cribbing across the ruck and hesitating , again zero impact in getting the or any opposition on the back foot or getting support players in better attacking positions . Real problem at the moment and for a good part of this season . Can 't just depend on Turbo to lift the side apart from his injury prone absence sadly to date .

Actually intended the last two posts to be in the post match discussions column , never mind . Just in direct reference to Kaeo . he did play in the haves in the 2021 Tigers trial and defence apparently just a bit lacking but nothing that can not be improved on solid enough built . Again pleased that he has played some 6 at Flegg this season and sure that he can be a quick learner . Have to be realistic in trying to retain him with Turbo at the back , doubt that he would be content as a bench player or back up player . No previous indication that he would be suited as a centre although no doubt capable of filling in there . After his stint as a 6 in the Flegg , should be a natural transition to have a crack there in the trials next season and with Foz moving on

The kid has talent and can play. Just a shame he was not given more of chance and we have been tortured by watching Harper & Parker.
Hasler had nothing to lose but everything to gain by giving these young talented lads a run.
Why was young Fulton not given a run? Instead we play KDL. Please!

I said it last week but just reprehensible that Hasler didn't prioritize giving Weekes a go.

To play Smalley/Vaega/Burbo in the backline recently over Weekes was just plain madness.

Potentially in that position could be Jamie Lyon like, clever, solid and fast. Defense issues can be rectified. Young players often have difficulty in defense early on. His partnership with Koula would be lethal.
