Unfortunately I bought into the Knights crowd booing them at half time and thought we would go on with it. How wrong can one be?

So did I, but prior to that I was a skeptic, then we end up going in at half time 16 nil up and lose WTF……

I’m not in any tipping comps, but my wife is. When she asked about this game I told her to tip the Knights because I knew we could not string two decent games together.

She was worried I’d steered her wrong at halftime, but I told her a collapse was a given: 16-nil is the worst possible lead for us - just enough to think we’ve already got it won, but easy enough to piss away. As soon as they scored their first try, I knew we were gone.

Sad but I had the same experience, only it was when Garrick missed the kick to go up 18-0. At that point, I thought, those two points will be crucial and they were.

I mean look. I've just dumped 15g on lawyers in the last 2 months. Hit with a bill for 950 a month for not having my kids half the time.

Then come this week and I have 4 of 7 with covid me included. Decided to come to the farm tonight for a long weekend and clear our head.

No one's been here for a few months rats have taken over. Rat **** everywhere.

So covid ridden 3 of us that are here have had to clean, not young martin. Had to get a fire going with no matches and no fire starters because the last SOB that was here well was a bastard.

Got a fire going only to find the good wood I had spent two days bucking and hidden in the back fo the wood shed had been found. So im burning wet bull**** that is as good as burning plastic whilst we shiver and sweat with covid fevers.

Still I manage to cook sometbing for us and wrangle the 3 year old snot dragon into bed with 4 books tonight daddy.

The dog goes ballistic as what i hope is a wombat and not a yowie and I sit my ass down to watch the second half.....and that that is what I got to watch.

Bonus points I have a 6:30am meeting tomorrow where i have to present the thing, it's going to be negative my nuts are cold and ill be spicy coughing all over the joint.

Shoes you how bad the broncos really are

Shows how bad we really are because knights have been playing like absolute ****, their first 40 has been on average of what they usually dish up. Their win against the bunnies had lewis Dodd in the halves, who can't crack it back into the side even with all their injuries and a win against a severely understrength and low on confidence panthers.

The only thing that I will give some grace for is that I think without our injuries and HIA'S which severely impacted our backline is we would have won but the other half of me still thinks we should of overcome those challenges and won.

I thought Croker was much more effective in defence. He led the line speed and was hitting and sticking. Simpkin certainly wasn’t awful and I agree the left edge was abysmal.

Croker was gassed 10 mins in, his no where near match fit, our left edge defence was Waddellfull and Sharpe who played like he was still wearing 1 cut us up, overall, pretty hard to swallow.

We normally park at firth park in mudgeeraba and catch a bus or we found a little sneaky trick of parking in the carpark of Robina private hospital but that could be a bit more risky then the first option.

Frustrating game. If Hoppa hadn't gone off we would have won handily. Every time we have a chance to climb the ladder we blow it.

Parking is horrendous there. If you do find a spot good luck but the whole area becomes an event area and parking times are restricted. The bombers will be out and about and trust me from experience you will get a ticket. We just get the train to Robina station and walk from there. After tonight I wont be going.

Might be safer to park at Robina Tavern and give your tickets to the barmaid. Easier to escape after Brimson’s fifth try.
