Lehi Hopoate

Showed some considerable testicular fortitude today. Big challenge for the club to keep him. I'm sure his old man already has dollar signs in his eyes to pay his legal bills...

Hoppa is a real footballer, some players only play a position or left or right side of field. He swapped sides to cover Saab and got a little caught out but 19 and the experience of finals is invaluable. Will bulk a bit more over next 2-3 years and will not get pushed back in kick returns. A great player and possibly a fullback replacement in 3-4 years time.

Ciraldo had Hoppa as a target today and they gave it to him the Dogs hitting him with what they could.

That clutch play for Bully’s try was a show of his resilience to keep giving it his all on that kick chase, a good player who is only going to be better from today’s game.

First time in his career he has been consistently rag-dolled.

Bounced back well for some big match changing moments for us, which shows a tremendous level of maturity.

I would advise him to stop running directly at Kikau though.

I had totally forgotten about Lehi's effort to knock the ball out of Skeltons hand... stopped a try and got us a 7 tackle set...

Add the catch and pass for Bully and that was an outstanding finals debut for a kid that was targetted by the oppositjon and rag-dolled for a large portion of the match...

Super impressed but he is going to have to step it up once more against the massive Rorters backline...

It was Tolu that stopped Skelton from scoring. But agreed Lehi came up with some huge plays and we don't win without him.

I thought Suuali at the roosters was the best young player I had seen in 30 years.

But we have a serious challenger here.

Sign him up long term.

No doubt the Roosters will try and do the same and target him on the kick returns. I’d hope Seibold can identify this and get Garrick to drop on the last if needed.
