I wouldn't have any qualms about nabbing 8th from them @HoldenV8.

In fact I think I'd quite enjoy it.

They are cheats, they don't deserve to even be playing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I wouldn't enjoy us making the 8 at their expense. But I would rather we finished somewhere in the top 8 because we have played well enough and won enough games to be there on merit.

The club is one entity. It can't be fractured when it suits their agenda.

LOL at some or basically all of the "minor infringements".

Why don't we just put all the clubs names in a hat every 4-5 years minus the teams already caught exceeding the cap over $500,000 and take turns for "making an example" seems fair to me.

What journos like Massoud might be up to in putting a low penalty out there, is to generate general anger and incredulity amongst the broader league fan base.

That in turn sends a message back to Greenberg that we want tough penalties. Not a slap on the wrist.

Look, we all know what their penalty should be. It should be no less than the Dogs losing all points in 2002 and the Storm playing for zero points in 2010. However, what it should be and what the punishment will be are likely to be two very different things.

The reason? Because both the NRL and their benefactors Nein have this idea in their collective heads that they can't afford to lose Parra-doesn't-matta's perceived fan support. And making them play for no points when they finally have a team that is winning games (unfortunately.....) won't go down well.

At least we accepted that we lost in 2007. Yes we lost to the cheating scum and that does leave a very sour taste because of what might have been, but regardless on the night we were simply outplayed in the GF, especially in the 2nd half. Being handed the premiership 3 years later because of the Storm being stripped of theirs would have been next to meaningless IMO.

That's at least one thing the NRL have got right in the past decade or so, they didn't give the 2007 premiership to us and they didn't give 2009 to the Speels. They just left those years as no premiership winners.

Oh, and that picture with Greenturd and the cheap watch.....definitely from Toad's Dog days. Just look at his club regulation blue and white tie.
