2008 Manly (2nd) v (Storm(1st)
Only 2 tries scored against Manly in the whole of the Finals Series

The thing that stood it for me in 08 was how we just demolished every team in finals series. And I still recall each week the commentators picked the other team. Even in week 1 when we played the drags a lot of commentators said we'd lose, and let's not forget they had been our bogey team for many years. Demolished.

Warriors next, again predicted to beat us....demolished.

Storm....get that India!

Update score

1998 Donkeys 34.38% (876 votes)
2008 Sea Eagles 65.62% (1,672 votes)

It would seem the football public do not agree with News Ltd. that the team they own was the better of the two.

2008 Manly Sea Eagles
Brett Stewart, Michael Robertson, Steven Bell, Steve Matai, David Williams, Jamie Lyon, Matt Orford (c), Brent Kite, Matt Ballin, Josh Perry, Anthony Watmough, Glen Hall, Glenn Stewart. Res - Heath L’estrange, Mark Bryant, Jason King, Steve Menzies.

1998 Brisbane Donkeys
Darren Lockyer, Wendell Sailor, Steve Renouf, Darren Smith, Michael de Vere, Kevin Walters, Allan Langer (c), Shane Webcke, Phillip Lee, Andrew Gee, Gordon Tallis, Brad Thorn, Tonie Carroll. Res - Kevin Campion, Petero Civoniceva, John Plath, Michael Hancock.

Two very strong teams, no doubt. And a mix of the two would be simply awesome to watch. But I'd still choose the 2008 Sea Eagles.
