Manly Attacking Formula ?

Firstly, there's so much wrong defensively, but just prefer thoughts on attack this thread.

I feel the expansive attack on early tackles from long range, is a great attribute with the likes of Saab, Koula, Turbo and more to utilise 1 of the quickest NRL back lines.
Unfortunately this same style in opposition 22m is being overcooked and predictable and there's more than just 1 reason.
It "could" still work if the defensive outsides were vacuumed inwards, before the shift....but Manly Play 1 out footy inside the opposition 22 to setup for this BIG shift "which they do well" but the lead up is of 1 out is so easily shut down, the outside defenders are very well positioned and/or have "time" to make defensive reads and close down the shift...
The better sides will play "through" the opposition with dummy halves getting out quickly from the play ball and engaging defence creating carnage centrally and also runners travel in numbers "threatening an offload" that Manly NEVER do, which then creates confusion for the wide defenders.
Also not sure if there's a worse last play team, with hopeless kicks that run dead, or bombs dropping 5-10m out....if landed better for the likes of Haumole (when playing) or Saab (who is playing) this would be as good an attacking threat as ANY across the NRL...in fact just about EVERY time these kicks are accurate, we score a try or go within a whisker.

In General, the ability to offload is a MUST in the modern game (very few), as is running with support pushing up, which Manly lack both...also the abilty to get out of dummy half , which Simpkins displayed better last night and of course a 9 who can bring his players over the advantage line to bend the line in general play, which again Simpkins has been better than other options, but I feel we have a couple of youngsters who will really excel at dummy half by 2027....hopefully earlier

Anyways just opinion and happy to hear others thoughts on the current Manly attack.

Its like they don't care.
Zero effort plays.

The problem with our attack is our halves don't take on the line compared to Canberra's 5/8 who scored 3 great tries, 2 of them individuall efforts. We need our halves to do that or get ones who will !!
Usually agree but brooks took em on way more and we were better for it .... problem was, not off second phase or defence compromised so closed him down ....but in general 200% fair call
