Manly Coach 2026 is...

Mick Ennis. It's done and dusted as soon as our season is finished (Round 27) Seibs will no longer be our coach.

Not sure how I feel about this one.

Ennis is there now, he's untried and never played for the club.

But he is a winner , spent a lot of time playing under hasler, Bennett and flano and comes from a fanatical manly supporting family so he is as close to a manly player without being one.

Interesting times ahead
I hope you are right Cam. I am a big Ennis fan. I can’t help but think Ennis’ acceptance of the role depended on wether DCE was fully out of the picture.

The trouble with this is that it believe (and happy to be corrected), that there are only 3 maybe 4 current potential coaching candidates with some type of manly DNA, being:

  • Chad Randall (bulldogs defensive coach)
  • Matt Ballin (broncos and qld assistant)
  • Michael Monoghan (Titans assistant)
  • The Walker Bros (although I think it was mainly the northern Eagles for Ben)

So tbf i think Ennis stacks up against all of the above
You've left off that list the most obvious, appropriate and suitable candidate - IVAN CLEARY!!!!!

Given the bulldogs are a penrith clone, and their defense has been top shelf the last 2 years.
Chad Randall (bulldogs defensive coach) would be my pick as the next Manly coach.
Apparently the Dishlickers of Pooh have already re-signed him.

There was a bit of a non-story a few weeks back about Manly being keen on him returning, however Canterbury stepped in to prevent that from happening.

First up, not really sure (cough) that you can prevent an assistant coach leaving, to take up a head role elsewhere.

Most clubs (and I’m sure Canterbury would too) might have regrets - but wouldn’t stand in your way - from taking up a head role elsewhere.

Plus, where is the evidence that Manly were keen on him returning? It’s purely speculation.

You don't like speculation? Without speculation what do we have?? @:D

DNA alright, Mick and the whole family is a passionate Mighty Manly Warringah Sea Eagles fan. His bedroom was covered with past legends. Why do u think he came back to the club, to b in charge of his favourite team. We might b doing sh#t now maybe because of the other coaching staff, don't forget he's not in charge yet.
Is he actually? Last photo i saw of him he was with his two sons i wouldnt have picked it lol

As a young man growing up mate, not my problem if he can't get a run with us. I follow Manly but I can't get a run with them, not Manly's fault they can't afford me. Maybe he wasn't any good then and we had a better hooker in Ballin, Monaghan etcs.

We all can't get a job where we want, you then either join Centrelink or feed your families. Same with his kids, they play where they're given a chance, which doesn't mean they follow that team. Look at Fatty, G Stewart and many of our past greats having to leave because we can't afford to keep them.

That photo means nothing, plus you're not going to force your kids to be like you are. You let them do what's best for them.
