Apparently there is a consortium of rich Qatari guys wanting to buy the club. Prepared to pay 15 million, cover any fine to the NRL and already have a major sponsor in Qatari Airlines ready to go.
Yep, that makes two syndicates waiting in the wings. Much better than what the NRL put together for the Coke Coast.Makes a mockery of the opinion of both Hooper and a few Penn fanboys on here, that no-one other than Penn would ever buy the club.

Welcome mate.Found it (posted link above) thanks! 🙂
Let’s hope so... Look at what happens when middle eastern riches are invested into the Premier League.hopefully penn stubbornness and ego sees the advantages of this to himself and even more to manly and sells
Careful what you wish for, just because they've got Monterey that doesn't mean it'si be good for the club, plus there's no salary cap in soccer so they can just buy whoever they want, not possible in the nrl (with the exception of the rorters and donkeys of course)Let’s hope so... Well wherever the story’s coming from it ain’t the NRL. Because they want us to be portrayed as a backward swamp hillbilly organisation that’s on its deathbed, working out of demounables without a friend in the world.Yep. Everything in the press on here is dismissed as lies and speculation yet this is taken as gospel truth.
Sounds like absolute rubbish.
Mystery Qatari businessmen, Etihad Airways, a bloke called Ibrahim and they are all interested in a strife ridden, struggling team playing out of a delapidsted stadium that won’t be fixed.
