Finally, Trent Barrett has been given some good news. The Manly rookie has been given a tough initiation into life as a first grade coach after being thumped by the Bulldogs at Brookvale Oval last Friday. But Barrett can breathe a little easier with Steve Matai and Martin Taupau cleared by the match review committee after being placed on report.
The Sea Eagles are also confident Brett Stewart will recover from a hamstring injury to play the Tigers on Monday night. Manly captain Jamie Lyon said his side had let Barrett down in the 28-6 loss. Lyon, who has spent his decade-long career playing under the intense Des Hasler or Geoff Toovey, said Barrett remained composed after the game.

"[He was] disappointed like us players and knows we can do better," Lyon said. "He has a calm head and aura about him. We have to play better for him.
