Holy moly that is an uninspiring, boring team... I feel like I'm saying this every week... no changes or shake up to account for the horrid performances. It's honestly depressing, I'm usually gob smacked by for whatever reason this week is more so than usual
I see Curbo got picked again. What does our coach see in him other than his sister being married to Jake? There is no way he deserves a spot ahead of Navale who consistently performs in NSW Cup. Seispud does as Seispud does. Funnily enough, I can see us getting the win in this one with Walsh out and SOO. Which will only paper over our "coach's" frailties.

Is this the slowest, oldest unathletic bench in the history of the nrl?
Must be close to it. However, I understand the reasoning.
Our two starting props do not play long minutes. Al is returning after a long -- and regular -- layoff. Bully only ever gets 35 minutes, which I can't understand as he's one of the few with spark.
So we need an extra prop to make up the 80 minutes: Lodge and Brown are impact players. So Waddle has been picked to take up the slack and play prop.
No point in picking Navale if he is only going to get 10-15 minutes.
Without the much maligned Jurbo we have little stability and continuity in the forwards.

Ok

Mate Croker & Waddell are 28, Lodge 29, Brown oldest at 32. Not so much a dads army although yes be nice to have a young spirited forward in there as reserve!
Yeah but Waddell is shiit. He was shiit at 20 and he's still shiit at 28. Lodge I don't mind. He can have a big impact in the right conditions. Even last week he made some very strong carries. Brown looks like he's 40. Apart from a few charges when he's fresh, the bloke looks slooooow as. Croker is Croker and we will need him to win this one.

Overall not such a bad lineup. A fully fit Lehi at FB is much better than a struggling Trbo. Rest of the backline is good! Aloiai back is a step forward…pun intended! In my opinion has been missed more than we realise. Starting with Bully & Aloiai is a good thing. Simpkin at 9. Happy enough with the forwards. Reserves??? Croker at 14 not so bad, Waddell again WTF!!!! Brown ok, Lodge ok. Would have preferred Navale in place of Waddell or even Cheekam given a shot!
I think we are a good chance this week.

Waddell would not be in any other NRL team.
His miss of Walker, that led to a try, in last week's clash with Doesntmatta should have sealed his fate. He must have something on Seispoon???

This looks one of weakest squads from us.

Even with who Broncos has out they will thrash us easily Saturday

7th defeat coming this Saturday
We will play the Broncos into form
Broncos by 26

Tom Trbojevic and Siua Taukeiaho have been ruled out of Saturday’s Round 13 match against the Brisbane Broncos at 4 Pines Park.

Trbojevic has been playing with a corked thigh in recent weeks and aggravated the injury in last Friday’s loss to the Eels. The club is taking a conservative approach and will rest their star fullback this weekend.

Taukeiaho picked up a minor calf strain against the Eels and he too is expected to miss just the one week.Jake Trbojevic will also sit out Saturday’s match against the Broncos as he continues to follow NRL concussion protocol.

It is lucky he is being rested because this really isn't a season defining must win game or anything like that ......

Ummm, are we favourites given the latest player outs?
I stand corrected feathered friend
Given the latest players out we are not betting favourites any more
Given the way the Broncos surrendered their last three games I Give our selves a chance at home provided our coach can make a few positional changes , player attitude changes and Tweek his game plan as well .

South Sydney recently beat the underperforming Broncos without their Inspirational Captain Murray , Chief play maker Walker , without their starting hooker and two back rowers in Jai Arrow and Keaon Koloamatangi playing prop . Other players not playing in their Patched up team were the flying winger Johson and star recruit Jack Wighton
The Broncos Have Proven to be beatable, and I believe we have chance .
So we can put the white flag away and Raise our Maroon and White Victorious flag on Saturday

It's not just their ages mate - Croker is busted and has only just returned from a long layoff straight back into the 17, same with Lodge who looked about 15kg overweight last week. Waddell could be 23 or 33 but he's still a garbage footy player and Brown tries his heart out but has been busted since the middle of last year.

I get that Navale may be a little overrated on here because he is one of very few young forwards we have but I'm not sure what he's done wrong, even in his short stints not to be given a consistent run in the side? Especially when the existing plodders have performed as poorly as expected this year. I imagine Seibold would still prefer Sipley too if one of the middles named were to drop out. Surely Waddell isn't still in the 17 because he offers backrow cover, we saw him for 80 minutes there last week and it was a complete disaster.

But as you posted Bullemore doesn't get enough minutes. Why not increase his minutes and get some youth into the pack with Navale. Our coach is a potato that's why.

We are going to get belted. I'm not sure people realise how much danger we are in this season regarding the wooden spoon
Crossed my mind also - having taken into account our weak pack, how much we are dependant on DCE, and very serious lack of depth. Looking at it realistically, the current mooted candidates for last are Newcastle and Titans, and I think both those sides have squads at least as good as ours, and should they start to come good they could well finish ahead of Manly.

Seibold has now hit the frozen in terror stage. You could see it in the press conference last week. No more proud of the boys or we won the 17th minute positive reaches. Just blank, devoid of ideas.

A confident coach would have really shaken things up this week but not this twit, keeps Waddell and names Navale at 22. Defence might win premierships, but defensive selections when on the slide, does not win games. Important games.

I'm just hoping this means there's a clause in his contract which allows us to be rid of him. At this point, Hales would do a better job.
