From the Manly Sea Eagles website, here is the ' Injury Update: Taniela Paseka' released on Tuesday, 25 March 2025:

Sea Eagles prop Taniela Paseka has undergone surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon.

The 27-year-old suffered the injury midway through the first half of the Round 3 victory over the Raiders.

Taniela is aiming to be available to play in Round 25 this season following a 16–20-week recovery period.

From the 'NRL 2025, Injuries, Suspension Return Dates, Casualty Ward and Key Information for the 2025 NRL Telstra Premiership Season' web page, Here is the Latest NRL Injured or Unavailable Update:

* * * (Updated: Friday, 30 May 2025) * * *

Manly superstar Tom Trbojevic will join brother Jake, prop Siua Taukeiaho and winger Jason Saab on the sidelines after being ruled out of Saturday’s match against the Broncos at 4 Pines Park.

'Turbo' has been playing with a corked thigh in recent weeks and aggravated the injury in last Friday’s loss to the Eels. The club announced in a statement that it was taking a conservative approach and would rest their star fullback this weekend.

Taukeiaho picked up a minor calf strain against the Eels and he too is expected to miss just the one week.

Jake Trbojevic will also sit out Saturday’s match against the Broncos as he continues to follow NRL concussion protocol before returning in Round 14 while Saab has succumbed to illness.

Manly Sea Eagles
  • Ben Trbojevic (Illness, Round 13)
  • Tommy Talau (Hamstring, Round 13)
  • Josh Aloiai (Shoulder, Round 13)
  • Toafofoa Sipley (Suspension, Round 13)
  • Jason Saab (Illness, Round 14)
  • Tom Trbojevic (Cork, Round 14)
  • Siosiua Taukeiaho (Calf, Round 14)
  • Jake Trbojevic (Concussion, Round 14)
  • Gordon Chan Kum Tong (Head Knock, TBC)
  • Taniela Paseka (Achilles, Round 25)

Also, from the Official NRL Casualty Ward & Injury Information, Manly hub page, there are slight variations to the information regarding the unavailable or injured players and their return periods:
  • Taniela Paseka (Achilles, Round 25)
  • Gordon Chan Kum Tong (Head Knock, TBC)
  • Siosiua Taukeiaho (Calf, TBC)
  • Tom Trbojevic (Thigh, TBC)

Game day!!!!
Hopefully no more selection surprises.

The 'dark thread' looks like it should have a lot of posters judging by the "we're gunna looooose" narrative all week.

Anyway, it is what it is, unless anyone here is going to get a late call up.

Kick long every set and let Koula race to the ball first.

problem solved, noot noot.

Go Manly!

I’d have thought the normal game day thread is dark enough these days, given our performances!

No idea. Both teams are awful right now. So it’s a coin toss really. I just don’t see ut being close. Either we smash them or get smashed.
That's my thoughts as well, it's been 10yrs since we played them at Brookie and wouldn't you know it, we are down Tom, Jake, Paseka, TKO and Saab. The game will be hard enough at full strength let alone us with 5 outs tonight. Win this and it will be one for the ages.

This is where I’m at , and where I’ll be watching from tonight.

It’s the last remaining bridge of the original Ghan line on the Oodnadatta track , it’s called “ Algebuckina Bridge “
Cold out there wouldn’t be Mark? Looks incredible tho. Nice glass of red while watching Manly get up would warm things up I’d imagine!

What’s the bet the Donkeys target Daly and why wouldn’t they, at 36, 2 games in 4 days, I’d have my side running at him all night as well and they have some sort of pack to send at him too. I don’t buy in on the Donkeys are a mess, they may well be unhappy with Madge, but if they turn up and want to play, look out.

G'day all,Hi Mark hope the trip is going better than our footy team.I worked at the Pedirka siding for a while which is a bit further up the line. If you pass through there you know the meaning of the middle of nowhere.Happy travels mate.
cheers mike

Think much will depend how well the Manly defence can hold up and possession share .
If Alioia can add a bit of bustle and the rest of the pack can stand up and which they are quite capable of , maybe not so much pessimism at how well the side can actually go
Much also will definitely depend on D C E and Brooks putting in decent showings.
Manly bench is so so but maybe they can really lift for the occasion with a home game environment
