Manly v Canberra. Pre-Game discussion. (Rd 4 2018)

Geez our backline is looking a little vulnerable this week. If our forwards don’t aim up and win the battle up front I can see us being in for another long afternoon. Hopefully Tom has one of his big games and we can jag a win.
 
I just assumed Matt Wright was in his 30's and just an old safe veteran. But he is 27 . Should be in the peak of his career setting the backline on fire!!!. Just too slow i thk for a back these days. Should hit the weights and gain some bulk and be a forward

In my opinion this is a very very dangerous game and not at all to do with the off field issues.

Really tough game to pick. I’m normally on the optimist side, but so many variables in this one. As Baz said, it is an attitude thing. So, I’ll tip a 20-20 draw.

I’m hoping that Stick person has lost his dressing room and they have lost the fight after the 0-3 start.

Dry weather at least that suits us, and now down to the forwards to at least match or dominate to compensate for our backline deficiencies.
 
Wait, you mean we've got a game to think about this week as well? Hope the players can drown out all the noise and focus on the game at hand.
Canberra will be very dangerous. We jagged a couple of wins against them last season but the games were always in the balance.
 
Canberra's backline looks superior in all positions, except for halfback.
I expect a high scoring match and hope that Canberra continues to be the Faders.

I'd say Turbo and Kelly are better than Wighton and Leilua. They still beat our backline but only just.

Wighton is hit or miss, but on his day I reckon Leilua is one of the most damaging centres in the game. Let's just hope it's not his day.
With any luck last week's abject performance and the salary cap distraction will serve to galvanise our players. But there's always the chance it could go the other way. In any case, Canberra won't want to lose four in a row and we'll need a complete performance to win.
 
On 7 news that Hastings to 9 , Api to 6 and Croker dropped . It looks like ..

Fair enough giving Hastings a shot , but would have thought 5/8 with API staying at hooker...
Anyways, hope it works well.
