Match Stats

Going against popular opinion here, but I thought Waddell had a good game.

Yes, he passed to a Dolphin’s player twice but the first time I thought Talau should have been backing him up, the 2nd time it was 5th tackle & we handed the ball to the Dolphins in good territory for us.

He also forced an error from the Dolphins & was Johnny-on-the-spot backing up kicks & loose balls a lot of times.

His effort can’t be questioned IMO.

All I can say is enjoy the win STRONGER TOGETHER, might not b many more next year
We have a ##th team what do u expect, can't expect any more when the captain already gone 6months ago. I agreed with u and expected more but we do with what we have, and today was a great effort.

It was entertaining out there today but geeez, two also ran teams with lots of injuries and terrible defence.

I hated those 2 soft tries at the end!!

Positives though are Koula and Bulle are outstanding and it's why I wanted to go out today (coz I didn't really care about the 350 hype). And neither let me down. The Bulle try alone was worth the trek out. They always give there all. It was also good to see Tom with no strapping today and play with more confidence.

But geez, surely Dymock (if he is our defence coach) needs to go.

I can't believe I was sitting here with a massive smile and kept my mouth shut, been a long time. Me kids was so proud of me. And I'm so proud of the boys even though I hated them this year.

NEVER GIVE IN SEA EAGLES

So people bag sipley and say “get navale in there” yet sipley played half the minutes of navale and ran for the same metres and same post contact… maybe that’s the reason navale isn’t picked on the bench. More impact with sipley by the looks of it if you compare stats
But too be fair most of sips metres were from one run/line break. Navale was heavily involved and was pretty strong.

Enjoyed the game but to be honest it just highlighted everything that is wrong with the team and their attitude. We look unreal when everything is going our way (good weather, strong home crowd, $CE’s milestone game, feeble opposition) but we usually fold when anything goes against us. Pretty much what Girdler said about us being flat track bullies back in 2021 and we haven’t really evolved at all since then.

Still hard to complain about a win after a month of absolute rubbish. Seeing Navale get actual minutes and playing well was one of very few highlights this year. Please give Walsh and Laiafi an opportunity next week too because having some youth and energy really does make a huge difference.

Good win, but this team still frustrates the hell out of me!
'Reminiscing' Glenn Shorrock's lyric sprang to mind watching this - reminiscing about 2021 when Manly ran roughshod over every weak team only to be shock-treated back to reality by any side capable of making the 8.
Not enough credit given to the 'Phins 'defence', or the # of mistakes they made.
Phins tore through our backline 'defence', both right and left, every time they spread the ball in the 1st half. Only Koula & Hoppa can stand tall.
Seibold still hasn't taught Saab how to tackle effectively.
Dragons and Warriors will provide a real test.

It was just sooo evident today how much more value Navale offers than Plodell....the Dolphins sucked yet they scored 30 points and some of those tries were very soft. So the defensive issues remain.

But it was great seeing the team scores some points again. Especially the long range tries, those tries are what typifies Manly. The ability to score from anywhere on the field.

Still not happy with DCE this season but happy to see him get a win on the big day. As polarising as he's been hell still go down as a Manly great. So I'm glad he got to celebrate in style....I still want to see Walsh debut this year.

Any say we run in 50+ points is a good day to be a manly fan. Well done boys.

We travel to our graveyard next week.

I thought Navale was playing that link role in the 2nd half (Jake's role).... sipley is more just a battering ram plus the fact the break he made off their grubber would have helped his meter's no?
