I hope we don't resign Winterstein unless it is purely for forwards depth. His lateral defense leaves a lot to be desired. We need to lock up Bainbridge as he is going to be a very solid player in a couple of years. I also cannot see why we would want Albert Kelly. We already have plenty of depth in the areas he can cover.

Yup Frank is still very much a work in progress - rewarding him now for a contract extension is premature..particularly considering he's 30 ffs. That's a weird one.

The whole thing is a farce, It is supposed to even out the talent but these days it is just lip service. Newcastle must have a fortune to spend on players but yet Broncos beat them to Jack Bird. Parra as others have pointed out seem to be able to land big names fairly easily despite only last year being seriously over the cap, they retire choc and Foran at the same time sign up Beau Scott, Michael Jennings and re-sign Norman. They let go Peats and Luke Kelly to get under the cap then go and sign Pritchard, Mitchell Moses and now Kane Evans??? How are they able to do this? and do the NRL not think it is a bad look when convicted cheats are getting the best players on the market? its a bloody joke. The NRL are secretly helping Parra as they need to win over Western Sydney before the GWS win a comp.

Like many, when I heard the Squeels had signed Kane Evans, I thought "how the f.... did they do that ?"

For every player they let go, the sign 4.

And this from a club that had been over the cap 5 of the last 6 years. Foran must have been on 3 million a year.

The figures just don't add up. The NRL are determined to make sure these cheating bastards are delivered a premiership no matter what.
