I like Marty he is a non nonsense guy. Probably regrets saying we will win the comp after we belted Parra earlier in the season but he won’t do that again. However confidence is everything at this level so I don’t believe in shooting it down. I hope Marty & AFB see out their careers at Manly!!!

The report said Taupau could "potentially be released" from his contract early to relieve salary cap pressure.

This is the most concrete rubbishing of the rumours yet. I like it!
There was that rumour that Kelly has been offered 450k a season from the Tigers and I could see a chance of that happening with us already having Walker and Sulli. Personally, I'd love to keep the youngster because I feel he has heaps of potential but I'm not sure we can accommodate 3 first grade centres. If he was to leave I'd be getting in early and offering Sulli a multi-year contract for about 250k and try to maximise his value and help put to rest any further salary cap concerns to bed.
I see where you are coming from re Suli ..... but .... if I had to make a decision (in the next month say) between Kelly who has demonstrated a very keen desire over several years to be a first rate footballer ..... and Suli who has shown a glimpse of desire for a month or so .....
I am going to err on the side of Kelly ..... if no decision has to be made for a while ... it will sort itself ...
