My forward pack would be
8 Mason
9 Ballin
10 Starling
11 Symonds
12 Buhrer
13 Lui

14 JSL
15 Lawrence (only until he improves his form)
16 Burgess
17 Trbojevic

18 Sao
19 Mateo
20 Leary

Mase has become a Brookie favourite overnight. Everytime he touched the ball the Crowd became vocal, much like the Gorgeous George days.

So even though he may not be an enforcer like he was in his youth, the energy at Brookie lifts and the whole Team lifts @:)

Better still name Buhrer at 6.
Symonds to 12
LUI 13
JSL to bench
I was thinking about Buhrer at 6 but not sure he has a kicking game....with Foran and DCE both going I think it's imperative we buy two specialist halves. Problem is the halves market looks pretty bleak for 2016.

He made good metres and carried 2 or 3 defenders with him a few times. Even if he didn't make many in a few runs he always attracts 3 tacklers, which sets up a bit of space in the next play. Really enjoyed his contribution

Exactly. He was fantastic, and certainly rolled back the clock with his effort tonight. He is great for us - passionate and big. He may not be able to do that every week, but at least we know it's still in him and he really wants to have a red hot go.

He played big minutes last night and wound the clock back 6 or 7 years. One of the best on field.

He was brilliant, have noticed that a lot of the people that were dropping the slipper into Mason and the other new buys last week have been a bit quiet today

Yeah the pack is Interesting come everyone back, I believe you have to be something like this.
Mason, ballin, Burgess, Symonds, Mateo, buhrer. bench lui, bj, starling, Sao or Jake t
I reckon Jesse does nothing wrong but may get sqezzed out of 17.

I like Lui's ferocity in defence in that starting 13. When opposition props are opening the game and ripping in you need someone who can meet that intensity in defence. He does the workload of a prop and if we also start Mason and Mateo we need him there to pick up the slack.

Yeah I do like what he offers as a starter, I just think Symonds is a average interchange. It would be better balanced back row with lui in middle and ferris and feleti on edges. I am concerned about tommy on bench.

Willie Mason 34 years of age and still going strong . He started his career in the top grade for the dogs at 19 years of age the same age as Parra's Tepai Moeroa . Jake Trbojevic at 21 is another of those quality players and should not be wasted in NSW cup IMO

Couldn't agree more Bozo.
Turbo's quality is so obvious, it reminds me of seeing Beaver make his debut. You just knew he was going to be something special.

I don't know if I'd be starting Jake yet, but he's be on my bench, even if everyone was available.

As for Willie, I don't think Tooves ever intended for him to start. BJ (for now) and Starling should get that job. And he'll be even more effective off the bench.

I'd go with,
8. BJ
9. Ballin
10. Starling
11. Mateo
12. Ferris
13. Lui

14. Jake
15. Willie
16. Jesse
17. Burgess

Damn....left out Leary. Can we have an extra ?

Do you really believe that Jesse is a better player than Symonds ?

I think he will be. Tommy offers a more balanced game than Jesse at the moment but two different types of player. Tommy is a 5/8 come centre come second rower where Jesse is a forward / second rower.

T-Red's a great player.

But I can't leave a guy that runs as hard as Jesse out of my 17. The fact Buhrer can play in the backs in an emergency helps me feel ok without Tommy there.

Not a bad problem to have though.

Its not all about how hard we run its about what impact we have on the line and Jesse as willing as he is just does not bend the line more mine and also Symonds is a more skilful player IMO

Sorry can someone explain why having JB and TS in the same side is a good idea ?
Are we covering for double injuries?

I seriously do not rate TS as anything other than a competent 1st grade 2nd rower that can play centre - (and leak's points all night long when he does).

He played 80 mins on Saturday, and I didn't realise it till I checked on NRL stats.

Sorry for the non t-red love, but hey give JSL and Jake more GT please Toovs.
