Munster to the Rorters

I love how Rothfield and co just explain away the Roosters signing Munster (allegedly) as a straight swap for Cronk. Rothfield actually fires up when Blocker asks when will it stop. Saying Blocker was off his head for making the suggestion the Roosters were over. Hello Phil... they have upgraded Mitchell, Radley, Matterson, Keary, Cordner and Manu. As well as signing Crichton, Hall and Morris. But yeah... makes perfect sense that none of those upgrades or signings would eat into Coops 1mill. I’ve hear Slothfield gets a lot of his info out of Bondi... he’s obviously maintaining his line of contact with the club so he can keep writing his agenda driven dribble. Vonny and co are giggling away about Robinson alluding to the salary cap and how it evens out the competition as the reason Easts lost to the Faders. It’s beyond a joke. They are also going on about how even the comp is... when the eight was more or less settled six weeks before the end of the regular season (bar the juggling of positions amongst the eight sides who are already assured of finals footy)

Roosters are 100% over the cap !! The roster they have is unbelievable they don't even need to play good as a team they can just rely on individual brilliance ! To think next year they improve there already amazing roster by getting Crichton, lamb, hall and Morris really makes me laugh ! Lucky for the salary cap

Plus Munster

Oh and apparently Marty & Dylan as well!!

I hear they are speaking with a speedy type player from the central coast mariners to bolt(ster) their back line

We are getting elgey.

Manly gets witch hunted for alleged technical breaches of TPA's, yet the NRL doesn't even bat an eyelid at the Chooks roster which is starting to resemble the Broncos of 1992-93 with wall to wall rep players.

Tedesco, Tupou, Mitchell, B. Morris, Hall, Keary, Cronk, Waerea-Hargraves, Friend, Napa, Cordner, Crichton, Radley.

And that's just a possible 2019 starting 13.....then they are able to fit another 17 players including Taukeiaho, Lamb, Aubusson, Matterson and rumoured Marty Taupau all under the $9.4M salary cap?

Pigs arse.......:swear::swear::swear::swear::swear:

Even with TPA's and without Marty if he is still at Manly.....that still makes a complete mockery of the salary cap's aim of evening up the competition. Its an absolute joke.

Plus Sonny Bill has stated that if he comes back for another season of league it will be with the Roosters. Not even an if or but about wether the can afford him.

Some clubs get favourable treatment from both the media and the NRL administration while one club gets obviously targeted continuously by both. Makes you wonder...

You’re all forgetting that they let Blake Ferguson go. They’ve probably got another 2 or 3 marquee signings to make in addition to the above before kick off next year (or 6 signings if for some reason they don’t get Taupau, Walker and SBW).

Trouble is, Toddy keeps saying: "Hey the top 8 teams are all within 4 points of one another....therefore the cap is working!" *washes hands*

Well....the bottom 8 and the bottom 4 battle for the spoon is creating a lot of interest this year. Honestly...who cared about that in years past?? So I guess the cap is working great...considering the balance it is having throughout the comp.

How the f*ck?

Is there no common sense department in the NRL?

Actually forget I mentioned that. Dunno what I was thinking.

Funny how its Manly , Dogs, Eels fighting for the spoon all having salary cap and Off field issues....I guess as much as Roosters and Co are allowed to scam the Cap and everything else - these clubs on top of the ladder are all run in a far more professional way so seem to get the "hands off" approach from the NRL hierarchy.

It’s actually becoming just plain funny now, they keep signing superstars like there’s no tomorrow and them ( Rorters) and Toddy think no one thinks it’s a farce.

I’m guessing when they field basically the NSW SOO side and then almost the QLD SOO side as their 30 that the penny might drop.

Let’s not forget SBW to come at some stage, and apparently Marty and Dylan, it’s beyond a joke now!!

LOL. Fergo must have been on $3mil per season

Agreed. Sydney City is the News Ltd favourite in NSW and always gets positive comments. The journos are too gutless to challenge the rorts this club are obviously using. But News Ltd have always had favourites. Abbot is one...every item on this moralistic craver of power is positive, just as the NSW Premier is so favoured. As suggested News Ltd dont report the news, they make the news.

I reckon the way the rorters are managing cronk's salary without it impacting the cap is that his salary is being paid out of the coaching kitty. Haven't you noticed that everyone is banging on about his coaching role and he is always shown giving the team half time rev up. He is most probably getting a token $1 of his salary under the cap and the rest off the cap. However the numbers still don't add up to the cap most teams are having to work to
