If you are scared of pelicans don't ever come fishing up our way. There's more to worry about than pelicans, I can assure you. 🙂

Funny in the 80’s I had a mate who worked for a while out at Kakadu.

Come up for some fishing he said.

So I actually brought the family on a camping trip and had a months holiday including a week with the mate.

Out we go fishing ( first day), 3 bites and that’s all.

Next day out we go, no bites BUT he said let’s stay to just on dark.

At 5.30pm, for whatever reason , surrounded by Crocs the Barra went balistic for 45 minutes.

I pulled out one that came in about 20kg, and was about to pull another in when a gigantic Croc came up ( just as I was about to pull it in ) and bit off about 7/8’s of the fish.

FMD, I nearly shat myself!!

It’s fun but FAR WORSE than Pelicans!

They are most likely to be Joel Thompson, Bailey Sironen, Jack Gosiewski and one other

Gosieski has been described by souths supporters as a younger Josh Starling

Gosiewski is nothing like Starling from what I have seen. Gosiewski is a hard running mobile fast back rower where as Starling was a plodder prop forward who's NRL career is over at the age of 27.

No news means these forums devolve into conversations about fishing even faster and I have to go watch other sports to get me through the summer.

I’ll disagree with you MfB in a rare moment. I reckon fishing is lazy hunting and bores me to tears.

Never ever been attacked by a Pelican.

It’s a really relaxing pass time , let me assure you sitting on my camp chair, with a cold Great Northern in hand, and the line in the river is the ducks nuts!!

It was like an alarm clock for the bra to start trying to swallow the lure as fast as possible. Oh and the crocks! Could have died a few times easy.

I used to be at Annaburroo & Opium Creek Stations, near Shady Camp. I remember we had a horse there scarred up from a croc attack.

Maybe, although their fans are angry about it, i haven't seen one happy about it. Every game he managed to play he was one of the standouts. Good depth that could be a good future investment

But as I’ve been asking since last week ( which really is last week) you can have multiple next weeks , it could be next week or in some people’s view next week could in fact be next week (which for many of us is the week after , but for some it’s next week).

Have you seen how high those crocs can jump Mark, I love Darwin, have been up there 5 times now.
