New Year, guidelines and expectations

It's a new year and a new season is on our door step.
It's a timely reminder for all of you to view our guidelines and times of service.
I will be asking the moderators to keep a close eye on posts as we move forward for your protection as posts have been skirting the line where they can end up in legal action against the poster.

Please remember that you need to be careful about what you say about specific individuals or anything that could be directly related to them or is obviously in reference to someone.

I can appreciate that many of you have passionate feelings about what has happened to the club over the past few years and I certainly don't want to stifle conversation about that, however there is a difference in discussing the situation and making accusations about people's involvement. I know that I can not afford a lengthy legal battle nor do I like having to respond to the numerous emails I get in regards to such things on a regular basis.

The onus is on you to protect yourselves and not to cross the line.

Thanks for your cooperation and let's go back to discussing football and playing the ball not the men

I'm sure Dan doesn't mean we can't critique the players , if they play like **** then they deserve to be critiqued as such.

I'm an admin on a caravan forum, an owner decided to really bag the brand, we evicted her and she started her own Facebook page " Lemon XXXX brand".

She's now facing a very major court battle for defamation and slander, to fight it will cost her thousands.

Simply for what she said on Facebook.

It does happen, and could happen to @Dan for allowing certain comments to remain.

So yes be very careful what you say, even I am guilty of it at times.

Yes of course critique of players is fine, that is kind of the point of the site, to discuss all things manly, but to do so in a just and legal way. Play the ball not the man. There have been a lot of posts that have been a little bit over the line.

Perhaps my reply was too subtle, what I meant by it was, thats a whole lot of work just to change that, which is a pain, so I am unlikely to go and change it, what I can do is turn it off temporarily 🙂

Here is my factual non biased contribution for the year.

Zorba is a buffet munching pie eating sloth that should retire. Who is Zorba really though?

Plodder is as his name suggests and was only acquired to appease DCE

The ex panther kiwi was just a mistake to keep twenty with familiar faces.

All statements said with enough conjecture to be interpreted to protect the innocent (not that there is any innocents in that lot).

Oh Dan, have you received feedback or is this quality control? Just checking. Btw totally agree that we should not disparage our team. They are hard working, diligent workers working towards a seasons win which all of us here support with their class and football ability.

None of them have the human faults that collectively all of us Silvertails have? So they are all role models that each should aspire.
