News: Roosters high on prescription drugs

So the Roosters chief executive, Steve Noyce, immediately and before further investigation, responds saying the allegations are "offensive and untrue".  Even more so than Friend's possession of Valium, this statement gives a clear indication into Noyce's credibility, the culture at the Roosters, and into the extent that the Roosters would investigate any allegations.  As does his lack of any knowledge that a key employee responsible for player welfare had a criminal record for drug supply.  

That Carney was the player involved with Friend at the time of the Valium possession is hardly a surprise.

And down the drain goes Brian Smith's reputation as a disciplinarian.
