MANLY players will be allowed to have a quiet beer at the club's upcoming season launch.
After the drama of last year, the Sea Eagles have decided to ditch the glamorous Wharf Bar and hold their March 5 launch at the more community-based Harbord Diggers.
"It will be up to the players and the coach whether they have a drink but they're not kids and no one will be treating them like kids," said Manly CEO Graham Lowe. "The players will be aware of their training schedule and how they prepare for games."
Sea Eagles supporters will again be allowed to attend the event.
