No Heart

One of the more depressing losses I've seen over the last decade. It just oozed apathy, disconnected, unmotivated , bumbling, fumbling mediocrity that we all know this bunch is so capable of. But it was more than that. It's clear there is a divide or a disconnect in this club and nothing is going to change the sh*t we supporters got served up today until several major players , administrators, staff etc are gone.

I've taken some time away from the wrist slitting and remembered that we have Lodge and Aloiai still to come back into this side. I think with them back we will be more competitive. I hope the club is seriously entertaining the idea of moving DCE on before June 30 because his presence is doing more harm than good right now.
If we can't move him on or get some decent recompense for letting him go early then send him to reserve grade for a week or 2. That might fire him up a bit. Bet he has a blinder for Qld but.

Agreed, but it was a dropped pass from Koala after the Brooks break that turned the match. We had levelled up and had all the momentum. Had Brooks passed earlier, or Koala took what was a poor pass, he would have scored under the posts. Knowing how RL works these days we would have run away with the win.
Having said that, we were poor for 60 minutes. DCE may as well leave now because he played like he was just going through the motions. If Queensland picks him it will certainly not be on current form. And Turbo is not fit and is not deserving his place in the NSW team. Guacca didn't help his chances of a SOO recall either today.

D$E is not the leader type to lead his troops into the grind. Never has been, never will be. And that reflects in how this team has played over the last decade+. Brilliant moments and even multiple brilliant moments strung together over a game… but unwilling or unable to lead his team through the tough times and grind.

It was the worst display since the dragons game. Sadly that’s two absolutely inept performances back to back at hone!

There’s no way Tom gets picked for nsw imo. Guac either the way he’s going. Dce will get picked tho and I’ll be happy to not have him for three weeks.

ps I don't think the issue is anything to do with heart, they all tried hard but @
I feel far different and from the start looked very flat....it took a fairly lucky try to bring them back into the game and once the Sharks kicked away the white flag went up and the intent and attitude was fairly slack for much of the game....I think it's a fair summary to say the Sharks wanted this game more than Manly

We dont have a game manager leader. DCE plays off the cusp and plays well inconsistently at best even before the saga. he has fallen to new lows since. Im more dissapointed in BROOKES, he has offered nothing in attack which is why we got him. Brookes should see the opportunity with DCE situation ans stand out, he has not shown a thing.

1st couple tackles of the game we got smashed backwards by a couple of metres each hitup. Knew then and there we were going to struggle. They beat us in nearly every tackle. It was a weak , insipid effort from a disconnected bunch of individuals.

I applauded moving Jake to prop but didn't think he'd be left out there for 72 minutes! I thought he'd play shorter minutes like he did last year in SOO, make more use of our mobile bench.

Meanwhile Waddell only played 21, Bull 36, Brown 24.

No idea what is going on but our forwards were a lot better v Penrith 2 weeks a

Whilst the execution was clearly down it’s the sloth like hit ups, zero aggression and passive defensive line that spells long term trouble. Mainly because our forward pack doesn’t have any more to give. What we have now is the same for next year. Who on earth is inspired by that.
