Wow we lost yesterday & still moved up a spot on the ladder.

Eels beat Saints in 86 and they toasted the Stadium that night. One of Steve Edges many titles for both sides.

They toasted the Oval in 81 after beating the Jets, the first game at the stadium in 86 they played the dragons and won.

Last game at Cumberland Oval was a 20 all draw between Manly and Parra 1981.

Only reason I remember is the family went to my Uncles place which was only only about 700m or so away from the oval, He was a mad Eels fans, so I went with my Eagles Jersey on to gee him up, That night after hearing the noise, went outside and was just one mighty glow. I forgot what I was wearing and we all went over see what was going on.. My mistake, they don't like Manly supporters even after winning the GF.
