SEA Eagles CEO Graham Lowe has been given assurances Brookvale Oval will be ready for the club’s first 2011 hit-out when they host the Sharks on February 11.

Brookvale Oval is again being refurbished for the start of the 2011 NRL premiership.

Warringah Council has told the Sea Eagles the ground will be ready for action.
Rumours emerged on Monday that Warringah Rugby Club’s Pittwater Park would host the trial. Brookvale Oval is currently undergoing a facelift ahead of the 2011 NRL season.
The upgrade includes lifting the playing surface to install a new irrigation system, replacing the roof for both the Jane Try Stand and Ken Arthurson Stand and the refurbishment of the President’s Lounge.
Lowe said their is no reason to consider alternate venues for the first game of the year.
“We’ve been told it will be ready for the first trial,” he said. “If there was a chance it wouldn’t, we’d be looking for alternatives.”
