NSW Cup 2025

All these players named above are products of our so called pathways system. Nothing but a trail of mediocrity. Setup by the Fulton's a decade ago. What has it yielded. Duck egg. This club better go and find another Gus Gould that can develop a winning pathways system otherwise,we'll be consigned to the also run club for years more. In fact who is in charge of our pathways.
I decided to google this. It appears David O’Donnell was pathways and women’s manager last year, but I don’t see him anywhere this year. His role may have been absorbed into the role held by Peter Gentle - Head of Football Operations and Recruitment.

Arguably our only product was Haumole Olakau'atu... By chance too, because he was in Parramatta's system originally.

How embarrassing. Everyone else came through locally (Hopoate, B Trbojevic, etc)
Ola was a complete fluke. Was just a travelling companion for shuster - someone saw him sitting in the car watching training and said you may as well get out and have a run around. Complete blind luck, nothing whatever to do with smart recruiting, scouting etc.

Wow, pathways are yielding expected results. What a sh*t show club.

No No No for our pathways is you need to look at the Wests Magies.

Alas they were beaten beaten by Newtown Jets, and have moved to 2nd last on the ladder.

Loving the depth at the club. We need a top to bottom rebuild we as a club are in cruise control we seem to be happy hovering between 4-8 in a good season and 12-17 in a poor season.

Very sad last decade and struggling to see an upside with two new teams getting added were does our improvement come from?

Lodge

42 mins ( stint 1 13:29 mins stint 2 21:11 mins came back on for stint 3)

28 tackles 2 miss

Team Completion rate 58%
Never going to win

We are guilty of impatience when it comes to blooding players, it takes a month of Sundays for changes to be made for underperforming players and we lose so many quality juniors due to lack of opportunity.

Penrith and the filth dogs are benefitting from a strong pathways program, they are not only strong in their minor grades, their first teams are very strong. I know Penrith have started slow this season and are off the pace, they are the sort of team that can go on a run and still be a major threat.

Our club tolerates a losing culture especially over the last decade. The only success is our Holden Cup team from 17, nothing major success wise after that win.
Really? - we are so slow we lose players to other clubs.
