It almost looks a bit like the philosophy of the Walker brothers with Ipswich jets. When defending let them run one out and have the ball for as short a time as possible. In attack lengthen your set constantly. Second phase results in extra tackles that don’t appear on the stat sheet but require just as much effort. Defense saps energy. So make the other team defend for as long as possibleWe are coming 3rd with 35 offloads, behind the warriors and tigers who 38 and 41 respectfully..
It shows that second phase play is a good ingredient to success
I think the more important thing is that they are (mostly) controlled offloads too, not just random throw it out the back and hope someone gets onto it.Something that struck me last year and has continued this year is the number off offloads the team is starting to produce.
There were times yesterday that reminded me of one of favourite ever experinces at brookie
Good point - Marty T was more selectiveI think the more important thing is that they are (mostly) controlled offloads too, not just random throw it out the back and hope someone gets onto it.
On top of that you have guys like Jake lurking around waiting for that offload too
