I reckon it would be great to see this song brought back to brookie! Although the eagle rock is great it is way overused. They should definetley play this classic at the end of game after a win as the players come around the ground. Maybe an email to the club to give them the idea?

They also mention the Cricket Ground so very unlikely but they could change the wording or at least play it in heritage round as mentioned before.

We have discussed this over the years. Not saying it is the wrong choice Dessie but the general consensus is that it doesn't pass the grade these days.

Eagle Rock is a thousand times better

At least a thousand times. This song is awful. The way I see it, contrary to Dessy's original post, Eagle Rock can never be over used. It never fails to move me everytime I hear it. If our club has an anthem then Eagle Rock is it.
