ORIGIN game 1

The fact that Daley has stuck with a carbon copy of last year (besides bringing Cleary and Trell back in) makes me believe Jake would have been the 17 in front of King if not injured…

Disappointing for Jakey as he probs does not get back in now if the team wins game 1…

To be honest I think he needs the wake up call.

I'm pleased Turbo hasn't been selected, primarily because he makes Manly a better team even when he's on one leg.
However, from a NSW SOO perspective, I'm a little worried. You see, Queensland will pick two tall wingers, Coates and Cobbo, who are wizards at catching bombs. We have T'oooo on one wing. He's a destructive tackle buster but he is short; really short. So I fear the Queensland tactic will be to kick high to their wingers where it becomes a lottery.

I thought Tedesco has been playing well enough to win his spot back from an underwhelming Edwards.
To’o only one game back. But he is a freak, so probably handles it.
Luai is playing average in a less than average side. But pairing him back up with Cleary would’ve been my choice. Especially if Chrichton does play.
It wouldn’t be a NSW side if we didn’t pick a player out of position. Moses is a 7. But there is that Manly incentive to keep him out of this week’s Parra side.

ps. How many times does Lomax have to get picked on the wing for NSW and Australia before he lets go of his "I’m a bloody centre" dream?

Daley has clearly gone with the mindset of picking mostly players who have got the job done before, and then letting some form in to fill some gaps.

I don't like Hudson Young on the bench, he was useless last time he got picked, everyone else I think is pretty close to what I would have gone with.
