Other Games [Round 2, 2022]

Their smothering, giving no time or space defence pressures the opposition into poor decisions. They must all be fit as butchers dogs because they never slow down
But do they get away with too much smoothering? I agree very fit strong side. They do everything at a cracking pace but far out they are allowed to slow the play the ball down, even after ref has called released.

What pissed me off last week was as soon as someone like Jake made contact, was called to release and roll away immediately.

I hear what you are saying but i think they 'earn' some lenience with their high intensity... that is, they play at such a high pace that the ref is not viewing their ruck 'infringements' as 'lazy play'...
This is in stark contrast to Jake who is so obviously attempting to slow the play down when we are on the back foot and struggling...

Not saying it is right...

Dragons showing real fight unlike our meek capitulation. Roosters will pump us tonight.

Dragons are great to watch. Suli doing well and I'm thrilled for him.
Meanwhile, are the Panthers the new Storm in being able to lay all over the players in every tackle and never get penalised?

Heading out to CBUS today for the Tits v Warriors game with the daughter.
Its been two years since I’ve watched a game live.
I figure it will help to put Manlys performances behind me, and just be positive that we can go to a game again.
Also every ticket sold, the Titans are donating $20 of the ticket to the drought relief. So that in it self is a great reason to go.
On the player front, the daughter wants to see pretty boy Reece Walsh up close.
‘I’m looking forward to seeing Ash Taylor up against his old side. I’m reliably informed that assistant coach for the Warriors Craig Hodges, has helped him greatly with his footy on and off the field in the off-season.
Anyway taking the "unicorns and balloons" approach to footy and life in general today.

(*forgot to mention the NRLW league is the curtain raiser game between the Titans v Broncos. Kick off 11.50 am.)

Sharks look a much better team this year. Nice balanced team across the park.

If Hynes could kick they’d be up 18-10. Instead 12-10 sharks
