I always said Fulton and Tarak had been milking the Fainu " potential talent" for years and the only reason they signed Latu was because they wanted Samuela who is the only decent first grader from the three at the club.

I agree with you that Tartak successfully negotiated the prices of the two bros way beyond market value. I get the impression that Tartak holds great sway over these young players - they trust & look up to him. For various reasons, money is very attractive to Islander families.

Putting this aside, I still think Samuela (age 20) and Latu (age 18) are gun players. I wouldn't compare Samuela with the recent purchases of established players such as Brown & Waddell. A like-for-like comparison would be with another young developing backrower such as Burbo. IMO, Samuela has a higher ceiling. In due time, I expect Latu will have a successful NRL career, maybe alongside Galvin in the halves....

Don’t rate the Sharks at all. Weren’t the better team v Warriors and game v Dogs was closer than the score indicated. They were terrible yesterday.

Nicho wasn't his old usual dependable self yesterday, got a feeling it's all on him. Next game will tell the tale.
