I don’t know if it’s corruption as much as confusion? Nobody including the refs have any idea what’s going on out there.
I know what you're saying Chunky, but it's so blatant most times that either like you say they're confused or the NRL thinks us fans are dumb and nothing to see here. It's just so comical in what happens at every game, and this is supposed to be a billion dollar professional sport that we're trying to sell to the rest of the world especially the yanks as "the greatest game of all"!

Good coaching by seibold tonight. Had a game plan that worked and we stuck to it. Just so frustrating when you see simkin play so well as starter and you wonder why it's taken so long to give him a proper go.
Garrick had his normal rocks and diamonds game. He can do some really special things yet the basics sometimes go amiss.
Bully is a real diamond. Love his energy.

Yeah it’s crazy. He’s our captain and chief playmaker on the field. Even when not physically at 100% he still makes a massive difference just his presence.
It’s the little things turbo does off the ball that make him a champion and the difference between manly winning and losing.

Oh and yes I am big enough to eat humble pie

I didn't see that coming tonight and willing to admit when I was wrong!!

Glad to be proved wrong again
Yep, me too. I thought that we were going to get at least 50 put on us tonight. I'm glad that I was wrong. It was a tough gritty win and well done to the boys.

My man Seibs. I’m glad I stuck solid.

Regardless that he's proven himself this year ... anyone want to take bets on that when Croker comes back he'll be straight back into the No.9 jumper??

If Simpkin doesn't keep the starting spot when Croker returns, then at the very least he's earned a spot on the bench

And yet Yeo stays on!
That penalty on Turbo's hip making high contact made my laugh, stupidity at its finest.

It was absurd, but I also didn’t think you could challenge foul play, yet we were alllwed to here and with jazz’s shoulder tackle

She completely lost control of the game, the edicts from the nrl make their job hard, but she ****ed it good and proper.

I love how you can go back several tackles to bin a player for a questionable head high, yet you can’t wait three seconds to check a 40/20. It is complete lunacy and rendering a lot of the sport unwatchable. Players, refs and punters are all confused and bemused . It’s a big inconsistent, irrational, illogical mess

Was great to win but seriously watching games lately is becoming a fiasco. The refereeing is just rubbish at the moment. Tonight was a shambles and it feels like most games are like this. The nrl better get it's sh*t sorted otherwise people will turn off. It's a contact sport. Hits in the head are unavoidable. Nobody goes out there to deliberately do this. It's become a circus.

JWH did…

I figured we'd play better and that having Turbo back would be a huge lift, but I also thought we'd be too light on in the forwards to get the job done. Turns out we were not.

That was one of the best wins I can remember in a while. As others have said, we managed to hold firm when the tide turned against us. We never lost the lead, and finished them off with some excellent tries.

And yes, this should be the game that cements Simpkins as our starting hooker and moves Jurbo back into the front row rotation. Fingers crossed that will happen.

Once we got out to that late 16-point lead, I was a little surprised to see that Penrith seemed pretty much disinterested in chasing it, even with eight or 10 minutes to go. They don't have the same belief or desire (probably both) that they've had for the last five or so years, or maybe the player turnover has finally caught up with them.
