Off contract and rumour is 3 clubs are interested,we seem to have an interest in front rowers and the pool is shrinking.We are linked to most players off contract,and he seems to be very similar to Lawrence in height and weight(188cm and 103kgs) and his involvement in attack and defense is similar(good or bad...).Haven't seen a lot of him but seemed ok without being a standout,is he worth a shot?Anyone seen a lot of the Cows games?Also,after seeing Tagataese last night...yeah nah thanks,looks like he has run out of legs and an occasional hit here and there is not enough,glad we have put that rumour to bed.

The fact that other regular Queensland Cup forwards are being selected ahead of him for the Cowboys top squad at present would probably indicate that he is not that well rated with his playing form right now . Not to say that he can not improve or make more of an impact in the future but some cowboys fans that i talk to occasionally are hardly enthused by him and with his present form .

I wouldn't be surprised if Lussick is ear-marked as a starting prop for next year. At the back end of last year he showed what he could do in that role and he should be coming into his prime right about now.
So, Marty and Darcy, supported by AFB, Perrett, Sipley, Tanginoa, maybe Amone.
I'm sure we will snap up a decent quality player if we get the chance but not convinced it is seen as vital.
Part of Barrett's appeal is that he seems focussed on improving the teamwork and the individuals we have, rather than just recruiting.

I agree..........if he stays then we have a powerful prop forward rotation for years to come! Add young Taniela Paseka to that list & we're pretty good to go! I'd rather the club goes for an extra back rower to be honest, although we seem to be pretty well covered there also. Love to get Buhrer back!!

True although Walker showed he had plenty of potential and ability, I'm not too sure in Kaufusi although then again I haven't seen much of him

You guys need to remember that off-contract means nothing these days. I'm sure we'll pick up a good prop and second rower, and whether they're on-contract or not won't matter.
