You have to tackle in league! None of the current union forwards would make a success of a change to league.

Spies lacked impact last night and was sin-binned for repeated infringements.

Burger was AWESOME though!

Hope we wallop those dirty Awll Blecks this weekend.

Your mob should head in favourites Mata.

Just while this thread has been dragged up again, is some interesting news over here.

With Johns unable to fulfill his role in the All Golds match later on in the season, the NZRL has approached Tana Umaga to fill the role. If that doesnt work out they have a few other All Blacks lined up.

Could be interesting to watch, Umaga has a pretty strong league background anyway, playing flegg for Newcastle

Burger did play well, but another typically boring Seth Efrican display. It's like they don't have the skill, or the balls, to back themselves with ball in hand. Monotonous forward play followed up with their usual drop goal barrage. Zzzzzzzzzzzz.

Hope the All Blacks give them a touch up next week, bring them back to earth a bit. It'll be crime against rugby if these oafs make it to the RWC final.

Wallabies played better than expected, but their kicking game (Huxley in particular) let them down. Failed to find touch too many times. Probably should have had a second try but that useless Pommie ref didn't want to use the TMO. Their defence was awesome though and they deserve a pat on the back for that. Unfortunate end to the game, but should take it as a back handed compliment that the Jarpies admitted that they had no idea of how to score a try.

That's what Rugby is all about! You johnny-come-lately Aussies have little understanding of the game and absolutely no pedigree.

One day it will click that the rest of the world does not agree with your frilly, touch-football, idea of the game and that they have no intention to change it to your liking. It is not a conspiracy theory from the Northern Hemisphere - it is about how the game always has and always will be played.

I can understand why the fans over there are happy to sit through that rubbish, being so conservative to them that is exciting rugby. Things will change because the balance of power is shifting and you won't be able to deny the skills of players like Habana, and J P for ever.

The fact that they'll eventually devalue the drop goal to one point will see the death of your fine pedigree of boring, can't run, can't pass, can shoulder charge drop goal specialists.

SA has been a blight on world rugby for too many years now, with their dirty play and lack of backline skills. They are dinosaurs and are headed the same way.

South African Rugby is shot after this year - they have to pick 10 out of 15 blacks in every province and in the Boks after this season. There may be reasons for this but it will kill the game for many a year!

That's a bit racist there CW.

C & C you need to think about and understand Rugby in the rest of the world before you go thinking much change is imminent.

Wow, this thread comes up as the second option when you google Schalk Burger! The Sarties will be petrified that Manly is about to sign him.
