Team Lists

We played really well against a team who should have been higher on the table than they were...throw in we had players out who are coming back in...playing against the team that can not score a point to save their lives...

Yeah we are going to get flogged this weekend

If I was Seibs I’d be keeping the same winning team as last week and holding Jrbo and Trbo back for the Titans away the following week as we are definitely losing that one.

Saab can return via reggies and the hair salon. As my mum said there’s only two weeks between a bad and a good haircut. He needs another week!

Seibold has already said they're not playing Turbo, and if it was a Sunday night they'd play him. Ponga will be playing injured because AOB is a genius coach.

Lodge will be dropped, they only played him for 11 minutes and those minutes were garbage.

Probably will be the following:

1. Loppa (I like this one)
2. Saab
3. Koula
4. Garrick
5. Talau
6. Brooks
7. DCE
8. Bullemor
9. Croker
10. TKO
11. Olakau'atu
12. Burbo
13. Tevaga
14. Simpkin
15. Waddell
16. Brown
17. Navale?
What about Jake ?,maybe in for Waddell ?

Like the idea of keeping a winning team but with a short turnaround bringing in a fresh couple won't hurt. Jake and Sio most likely.

I just hope if Jake plays, as expected, he isn't flogged for 70 minutes. Play first 20, come back for another go in the 2nd half.

Yep, that would be my preference, but Seibold will probably opt to replace Caleb Navale instead of Waddell.
Navale wasn't in the winning side v Broncs.
Likely change will be Sio in for injured Aloia, and Jake in for Lodge, who struggled to play 11 minutes.
If Brown or Waddell need a breather then it might be a reasonable time to pick Navale and give him decent minutes?

I am not a fan of waddell however playing in the middle as be did last week he was pretty good and played long minutes. He should never be allowed near an edge again.
Waddle is a bigger body and plays longer minutes than most of the other forwards. I think he has improved recently and can now be relied upon to improve the team's defence and play play strong, sensible, no-mistake football.

I should have made myself clearer by saying that I was relating my post to the team list that Phobia posted earlier at Post #9

I think that Seibold will pick the team somewhere along the lines of the following:

01. Lehi Hopoate
02. Jason Saab
03. Tolutau Koula
04. Reuben Garrick
05. Tommy Talau
06. Luke Brooks
07. Daly Cherry-Evans (C)

08. Ethan Bullemor
09. Lachlan Croker
10. Siosiua Taukei'aho
11. Haumole Olakau'atu
12. Ben Trbojevic
13. Jake Trbojevic

14. Jake Simpkin
15. Jazz Tevaga
16. Matthew Lodge
17. Nathan Brown

Replacement:

18. Corey Waddell.

Reserves:

19. Clayton Faulalo
20. Michael Chee Kam
21. Toafofoa Sipley
22. Caleb Navale - Development Player.

Simpkin can rotate with Croker for the Hooker position and Jazz can rotate with Jake for Lock.

What can you say about the Knights ?
You say O for Obrien Glass
When you say this you also say that their coach Adam Obrien has built a Glass Jaw culture at the Knights .
The sooner the Knights get rid of this underachieving failure . The sooner the the knights give them selves an opportunity to become a competitive club again

Crokers mins were way down on The weekend, was there an HIA I missed? Either way, he has been well and turkey usurped by Simpkin. I don’t think he has a place anymore

Brookes and burbo played well on the weekend and were certainly due to do so. I hope they can get some consistency and go again

Hope Tom can play, but geez Lehi is a natural back there. He is a star already.

I also prefer Talau over Saab

Would be nice to feel confident about another 2 points against the team who cannot score. Unfortunately our bi-polar team constantly throws the seeds of doubt at us. CONSISTENCY MANLY FFS.
To be honest, since our last premiership dynasty, the only time I have felt we had a consistent football team was when Tom had that ridiculous year in 2021. I remember games back in that 2007-2014 era when you just knew we were either going to win or at least make a hell of a game of it. The closest I have got to that feeling since was when Tom was on fire, and even then it was more about outscoring the other team through individual brilliance. I guess it’s a function of the big 3 salary cap problem and the lack of consistent talent across the park that has plagued us for so long. It would be great to feel that confidence again every week.
