Addin Fonua-Blake has passed his Friday fitness test and is set to make an early return from a knee injury in a critical inclusion to Manly's 17. Joel Thompson is also set to start after overcoming a gruesome tongue injury last week. An ACL injury to stand-in fullback Brendan Elliot means Reuben Garrick returns to the back with Jorge Taufua recalled on the wing.

Marty Taupau is back at prop after a head knock with Jake Trbojevic named at lock and Corey Waddell back to the pine. Cade Cust is expected to play despite some bumps last week, while Jack Gosiewski, who also copped some bruises, has been named in the reserves.

But we only need them at 60% to be effective.

Just having them all there should give the squad such a boost of confidence.

Yes we are at desperation stakes but will happily have them playing than sitting on the sidelines.

With the way Des has been selecting the team’s this year, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he leaves out Haumole for AFB. Really hope you’re right though.
