On an unrelated note, I can't wait for the media next year to be confused as to why we are doing better without DCE, and the Roosters keep losing with massive leads. It'll be funny to watch their narratives fall apart, and realise where the source of half our problems are from... We were winning the forward battle and DCE decided to do stupid things anyway.

Why does Brooks get a spot every week? Surely he's failed enough times already.

Brooks is playing poorly, because he effectively has to game manage in absence of DCE doing it.

DCE had a period coming off Origin last year, where he clearly had an injury. As a result, he played very conservatively, and just did what he had to do, steering the team around, and nothing more. It is no coincidence that this was Brooks' peak form so far at Manly. He had a try-scoring streak, and was lighting up our left edge attack. He was able to play his natural game. This was also a stretch where we won 5/6 games.

When your halves partner is doing the stupid ****, you're going to cool down. I don't think he has much faith in DCE to play a guiding role. I expect him to play better with Fogarty than DCE.

Problem is apart from the win/lose yo-yo we are on, we also have the losses to teams we should beat hoodoo to contend with. So maybe Manly 20+ at halftime, but down by 6 at full time. It’s the titans turn to get played into form.

I was at the game up there last year, we were lucky to come away with the win, the way things currently are, I think the Tits will be getting pretty excited about this weeks game, our win one, lose one record is about to be seriously tested, oh and I was going to take the family back up this week, but after last night, I’m not sure any of us are real keen, hopefully we’ll put last night aside and go anyway.
