Yes, watching the warriors v scum. The scum were up so fast in line speed. Blustered the Warriors into panicked mistakes. I watched the Saints v filth yesterday, Parra where up, but some of those wide angles shots showed them way offside!....but they are the new NRL darlings I suppose.
*** Just a question for those who would know. How is a club (Parra) who had all the salary cap rorting going on last year are now in a position to buy up big!?

Because uncle Toddles gave them Watmough exemption ($750k). They let Gordon go, Paulo go, Peats go and Foran ($1.2m) go. Having said that, they have bought Matagi, Hoffman, Vave, Nathan Brown, Frank Pritchard, George Jennings and then upgraded Norman.

I wouldn't have thought there would be that much room to move considering they had to wipe out an additional $570k (the amount they were over the cap).

Fresh as in start of game, but Souths energy levels were low early on - but as they grabbed control of the game, Manly looked flat and rarely dangerous in attack apart from a freak run from tom.....
Agree the small bench added zero punch....though Bainbridge and Cullen at least had a go.

Honest question.

Yes it would - Souths rely on a power game - more so than most.
I also feel if Souths shot out to a 12-0 lead with all the momentum like we did, they would not have fallen apart as easily....it took me back to the Penrith game last year when we had our big men and still capitulated.....every team faces adversity at times and has to call on extra willingness and desire to stay in the fight - THIS...is where we fall short.

It does suck no doubt, however as the person in charge of the team, you just have to find a way to lose one of The utilities and find some size. Even Jono Wright in for Brown and just use him in the middle. At least he has some size, Brown and Cullen on the bench is a massive error that a local C grade coach would easily identify.

I think Hastings will come in and not beyond the realms of possibility of DCE playing dummy half during the game similar to Des & 2V at times and Andrew johns in origin
