It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Cleary. If he’s out, I think we’re a genuine chance. I’d back Panthers if he is in; how long since they’ve lost at that venue with him playing? Where it gets interesting though...if we lose and Cleary doesn’t play, what does that do to our confidence?

Assuming Walker and Guac out then I think pack and bench is

Kapow
Croker
Tent
Keppie
Lawton
Jake

Sippers
Bullemore
Boyle
Davey (if fit) / DeLuis

Doesn't give us a lot of spark off bench, but Lawton can go to 9 and Bullemore into edge. Des could go left field and stick Koula on bench as cover for backs. Des has been known to just play 16 players and leave someone warming the pine as an emergency.

Agree with your starting lineup. I think the bench will be the interesting part. Sipley has been absolutely outstanding in both trials so he will be the first picked. Bullemore second, then a toss between Davey / KDL or Tuitavaki as the 3rd. Tuitavaki has has also been quite impressive in th eone trial he played. Then hopefully some Des magic and more differentiation to last year. Tolu? Tuipoluto? Kao? Our first game of the year....up against the premiers.... our gun 2nd rowers out.... and no Dylan. Great time for Des and some of our newbies to make a statement!!

Mental Strength, resilience, composure when under pressure, it does appear to be where our boys need to improve the most, especially to be true premiership material.

A loss isn't a big deal. It's how you look at a loss and respond that matters the most. And to win a comp, our boys will need to stay composed and over come many obstacles.

So no matter the result. It's all much needed experience towards becoming the best.
