Match Stats

I’ve been saying for a while that MCK should be in the 2nd row NOT Waddell. He was absolutely $hit tonight! Why why why does Siebold’s persist with him. I know he tries his guts out but he is not a starter!
Our best player currently is Koula. There are some in here who want him gone lolololol. Those tossers should be the ones to go….go & fu<k right off, don’t look back & stay the fu<k away from Manly. Support some other fu<king team!
Now I feel better ✌️
But in reality Chee Kam is not very good. Just better than Wadddell, and neither would make any other NRL team. Not one.

Just got home from the game & meeting the boys and a few other legends. As they were walking out Gallen & JT came. Both bastard Penn & Messup came out, I was the first in line put his hand out and shook my hand didn't have time to pull it away. Been washing my hand ever since I got home.

As we all know can't see much at the ground but I thought we played good. There was a fair bit of Eagles fan there spread across the stadium. Bloody freezing cold, I look like a terrorist with my Manly scarf covering half my face and my Manly beanie covering the other half. Overall at least we didn't get smashed.

Game on the next 4weeks. C'mon Sea Eagles...

Tell me I'm dreamin',I know that side will never be picked.

All in all not a bad effort against a full strength Raiders side, barring the pommy forward Nicholson. Just needed a bit more fire-power up front and i think we might of got them.
Dame right Eagle1 don't forget we smashed Faiders by 30pts at home.

Tonight with half of our team out only got us by 16, and at there spiritual ground losing last week with the weather and all not a bad effort boys.

Sounds like it was a decent effort (unlike dce jogging along during the last play of the game).

S'funny I read almost daily about poor old benett and his load of injuries, but nothing even about our lot.

Only watched the highlights but there was a couple of tries where it looked like a dud attempt at a tackle and that's all folks.

Not sure how to feel about the game so I think I'll go and pet a coffee and make my dog.

Wait... make a coffee and pet my dog!

Any club that wants that fraud DCE is an enemy of their own club. With no Huomole DCE can’t “‘create” any attack at all.

Been saying for years that Koula has been horrible underused, & he’s hardly ever put into good positions. It’s always Koula doing it by himself. Best thing for the player himself is to leave.

Injuries:

From the 'NRL 2025, Injuries, Suspension Return Dates, Casualty Ward and Key Information for the 2025 NRL Telstra Premiership Season' web page, Here is the Latest NRL Injured or Unavailable Update:

* * * (Updated: Friday, 08 August 2025) * * *

Manly's quest to play finals football has been dealt a blow after inspirational forward Jake Trbojevic suffered a head knock in Friday's clash with the Raiders.

The lock collided with Josh Papalii following a kick off and feel to the ground amid heavy contact. Trbojevic left the field for a HIA and was promptly ruled out of the clash.

Manly coach Anthony Seibold said the 31-year-old was doing ok post-game, but confirmed he will miss next week's clash with the Wests Tigers.

"The good thing is he's sitting up inside there," Seibold said. "It's Category 1 so he'll definitely miss next week.

"It's the third one this season so it's really disappointing for him and us. We're already missing six or seven of our forwards at the moment and Jake won't play next week."

  • Jake Trbojevic (Head Knock, TBC)

Koula should be full back he needs to touch the ball more in broken play. I'd let hoppa go Tommorrow along with Tommy, jake, burbo, waddle, dce, brooks, Croker, sipley then we'd have some money to fix this rubbish (and probably Garrick cause he's on to much money for a winger).

We’ve just signed hart for 3yrs. Tell me what harm it does swapping him for Schoups role last night. And for that matter any other young kid we have in the ranks. Pick them on the bench and get them 10-15 mins of 1st grade exposure. I’m fed up with Siebolds wasteful selections.

Agree, Unfortunately DCE and Brooks both decided to have s... games. As down on troops as we were the game was there for the taking last night.

Agree our forwards are shot! Paseka, Olakau’atu, Aloiai are an enormous loss. TKO & Bully can’t carry the rest. Why a couple of our younger players can’t seem to get a look in is confusing……Navale & Laiafi just to name a few!
If we had those 3 playing, surely Cherry and Brooks would of utilised them a whole lot better than what they dished up last night.

At least competitive to a point but more clear then ever ,that lack of impact from the likes of Ola , Paseka and would add Burbo to limit whatever useful attack Manly was able to manage
Not sure just how good Strange is , above average ability on his feet but tend to think inadequate defence more a factor in his 3 tries and that altered the course of the game considerably
Without forcing the opposition more on the back foot and even allowing for the attacking ability of Koula , just a real restriction again on that extra vital room to move where even Turbo at not quite his dynamic best would be able to be more effective from the back
Good spirited effort but those defensive lapses and a couple of costly penalties , just kept any real advantage out of reach .
Never were going to win the comp with Tent and Ola out for a good part of the season and the D C E fiasco and his hinderance to the side producing their best even with injuries but hopefully can still finish the season with some sense of self pride and dignity

More chance of Klemmer lining up for Manly next week.
