Honourable mention to Brooks who played much better than the other half.

3. Burbo - Big first half. Went a bit quiet in the second before scoring that late try. His discipline has been better these past couple of weeks. And he did something I never thought I'd see, he got through a hole off a Brooks pass!
2. Simpkins. We are 35x better when he's in the 9. Our issue is he is better off the bench. The effort plays Tonight where fantastic. Even in the last minute he dived on a loose ball to save a try.
1. Saab - if he catches that intercept he gets two points. I know he's rocks and diamonds, but he's got that X factor. I thought he was aggressive in defence tonight and made good yardage runs. I don't think he even realises how good he could be.

Burbo - lots of enthusiasm in defence, and more effective in attack. Forming a decent combination with brooks.
Hoppa - elite yardage effort from our own end. Quality player.
Jazz - gutsy all-effort player. A tough and skillful small middle forward - just what we have needed.

Hard to split the 3 and 2, but here goes:

3. Burbo. Not just the best Trbojevic on the field. Great efforts from him in attack and defence.
2. Lehi. My God, that skinny little bugger gets through a mountain of work, and does whatever it takes to get the maximum amount of metres he can on every play. The fend, the footwork, carrying people on his back, etc. Such a good player.
1. Jazz. He's an ordinary dummy half, but an excellent lock…

… which is funny because Simpkin was also excellent at dummy half. Coaches have to take note, surely.

He's much better in that role. I was pissed when we let walker go he brought a different dimension to our attack. Jazz is similar maybe not as skilled but tougher

I thought Waddell had a strong game but geez he is good for a dumb penalty. He’s lucky it didn’t completely turn the momentum in the game because we were hanging on and finally got the Cowboys camped in their own end; enter Waddell, who couldn’t help but have another grab after releasing.

Anyway, if he can run hard into space like he did in the second half, he has the kind of leg speed that can be very effective.
