Realistically: what is the deal with Bozo in the club

Ok. He's a legend. I get that. But what's really going on? What's his agenda? Why so many CEO's? Suggestion: if they are all so crap - why doesn't he just take that gig and be done with it - if he disagrees with each and every one - and at least that's how it seems.
I'm over it. Time for some mature stable management and leadership in the back office.
This latest amateur Cleary crap has to hold us back and create problems that must filter down to the playing group. Done. Time to grow up.

So now Bozo is responsible for all the CEO's leaving because of some mystery agenda. Please.

Cleary probably took the job thinking he would be important and quit when he realised he wasn't. Can't blame him.

But who cares who the CEO is. It is a nuffies job without power.
If only the reason was as simple as your argument.

Pls tell me what authority you believe the Penn's will relinquish to a CEO.

I repeat it is a small family owned and operated business run out of rented premises in an outer suburb of Sydney with a turnover less than a decent McDonalds outlet.

What big end or decent CEO is going to come and play with a peanut budget in a small business with no decision making powers.

Surely recruiting our last CEO from the local high school will give you a hint

The 'hint' could be that the turnover in CEOs was the reason it devolved to the neighbouring school's principal.*

They had an excellent fellow in Perry about five years ago, but he had to go because he initially bested that talentless, bloated wastrel, Peterides.

*However the same gentleman had demonstrated an ability to acquire funds and see through upgrades for his school. A talent they hoped would be replicated across the road.

Do you get it now?

Alright, this is going to sound heaps weird, but as a young kid growing up in Sydney's outer western suburbs, I used to go to bed dreaming that Wombat and Bozo were at the end of my bed discussing what plans they had for the weekend ahead. Every jersey I had from 1972-1979 had Bozo's number on it. However over the years with the fallout with Fatty, the Big marn and what got served up to Tooves, the aura around my childhood hero has diminished plenty. Along with the big Greek unit, there has to come a time when you walk away and let the legacy continue. For these guys this was about ten years ago.

No, I don't know how that changes us into a fortune 500 company that will attract Internationally acclaimed Captains of Industry.

5 years ago the Penn's didn't have total control, different environment for a CEO under total Penn authority today. Perry did well.

Cleary's ability to "raise" funds was 100% provided by the benefit of the Chinese student intake organised and controlled by Catholic schools nationwide. Cleary at St. Auggies and Stella Maris both made a motza. Upgrading a school with funds approved and provided by the Catholic church is hardly awe inspiring, however I believe he did an excellent job and that he is a talented administrator.

I believe from press at the time of his appointment, that his role at Manly would be similar in so far as spearheading the Brookie upgrade with funds granted by Gov't. A role I believe he would excel at.

Problem seem to occur when he actually thought he was a real CEO>

On form - I see an aggro vibe post from you Woodsie.

I tend to agree with Woodsie. Why the need for a Chairman/owner, CEO and COO, presumably a CFO as well? Too many cooks, especially when the owner is obviously a key player in all major decisions. Waste of resources. They should save the coin they're spending on hiring CEO's and their golden handshakes and then stop sending home games to Brisbane.

As opposed to Bozo acting as though he is the CEO?
Bozo is above that , after all he is an Immortal

Simply replying to your on form ridiculous nonsense .... what next ... your accusation that Bozo doesn't put the toilet seat down ... or maybe he was the shooter on the grassy knoll?

PPS If you think my first response was aggro, you really need to toughen up darling
