bring on the independent commision, hopefully there can be some sort of dispensation for local juniors, then wed be swimming in cash !

I've said before, The Roosters recruitment officer is the same one working for The Storm prior to last season....take that as you will.

If you recall, Melbourne used to be able to just afford anyone and all off contract, even though loaded with talent.

I just hope all the staff at Bondi are happy campers.

I'm not shedding any tears over the likes of JWH and Tasi.

Why not? They are the best two young forwards Manly has groomed in the past two years. And what's the reward? Easts get to win games with them!
There is no incentive to cultivate players, Easts proved that by getting to the grand final with one (if you count Anasta) junior.
There is no loyalty any more, and the salary cap doesn't dispensate for generating locals.
How Easts can afford these players is another issue.

Obviously they are very promising players, in fact W-H is more than that already he is a member of the world champion's test team and I thought he played a significant role in his club team doing well this year. So what? We can't keep them all. Ahead of him at Manly this year were 3 State of Origin props plus Rose who started the year in the all-Stars match and looked very good until injured. Hindsight is a great quality, but hard to teach...
