I know Barrett has seen a lot more than I have, but I still feel that while he's learning to run the team, Croker should be doing that at Blacktown, not in the NRL side. I still think Hastings (who has more experience at such things) should be our 5/8.

I agree with this, Barrett didn’t take chances by putting Matt Wright over Parker (i can only assume more
Experience) but went the other way and put Croker in instead of Hastings who has played more NRL and been at Manly for a full season. He must see something we don’t and whilst Croker wasn’t bad i think you could see the nerves throughout his play.

One thing we know about Baz is he’ll persist with Croker and not drop him next week. Hopefully a couple more games and he’ll gain confidence and improve.
