As long as it's not that scumbag Jason Demitrou.I'd be going for Justin Holbrook. He can coach.

And that’s possibly a big reason for the lack of performance. We’ve got Jurbo & Turbo (& likely Burbo too) who bleed maroon & white.I'm not in the sack Seibs camp because I think rebuilds set clubs back years. With a better roster, I think he can do OK. However, I don't feel a strong connection to this roster. I don't feel passionate about our players. I like the Trbo's, Garrick, Hoppa, Koula, Bully, Ola, and Croker, but the rest are just not 'Manly' type players. Even a guy like TKO, who has been playing OK, is a Rooster. Brooks is a Tiger. Tevaga is a Warrior. Guys like Lodge, Aloiai, and co. are just soulless mercenaries. I'm not getting a 'culture' vibe from this team. It feels very disconnected.
The living legend returns. You're blaming the Fulton family? How about Isaac Moses and his clown procession of signings including that of our head coach. Someone needs to tell Siebold that Bozo wasn't really a circus performer. He was actually a winner of five premierships with our once great club. And that’s possibly a big reason for the lack of performance. Then there’s Lehi, who is absolutely awesome, but I’m sure many (like me) aren’t 100% secure in the knowledge that he’ll stay at Manly, based on our past experiences with Will & John when Albert was coming through.
None of the rest are local products, so fierce loyalty to the club isn’t in their DNA.
I put that down to the pathways put in place by the Fultons, where the club shunned local players in favour of Mario Tartak’s “best of the west” which (apart from Olakau’atu & Saab) turned out to be a complete disaster.
I think we’re suffering because we’re rebuilding our junior pathways & aren’t a club as rich as the roosters, so we can’t just buy our way out of it.
Excuses do not win PremiershipsI think we’re suffering because we’re rebuilding our junior pathways & aren’t a club as rich as the roosters, so we can’t just buy our way out of it.
Spot on about Moses….he owns us .How can a coach who is managed by Moses make a call on a player managed by Moses .Tell me that player is not going to get overs.so you end up with a whole lot of players getting overs and it effects your depth.Right under Penns nose …in fact he opened the door for Moses . there’s a reason other clubs wont touch him.The living legend returns. Holbrook can coach but I think roosters have tied him up til 2027We need a new coach. I just don’t think Penn has what it takes to get rid of him. As much as I’d like a former Manly player to be our next coach, I just don’t think there’s one out there. I think the only viable option would be Josh Hannay.
yeah I think he is a better option than Hannay.Holbrook can coach but I think roosters have tied him up til 2027
A lot of ex players rate him as a coachyeah I think he is a better option than Hannay.
Im sure Choc would take the gigWe need a new coach. I just don’t think Penn has what it takes to get rid of him. As much as I’d like a former Manly player to be our next coach, I just don’t think there’s one out there. I think the only viable option would be Josh Hannay.
Coach doesn't make all the recruitment decisions, pretty sure Seibold has said there's a panel at Manly and he has a voice obviously but it's not just up to him. Can't see how Moses has any great say over Manly anywaySpot on about Moses….he owns us .How can a coach who is managed by Moses make a call on a player managed by Moses .Tell me that player is not going to get overs.so you end up with a whole lot of players getting overs and it effects your depth.Right under Penns nose …in fact he opened the door for Moses . there’s a reason other clubs wont touch him.
Choc . Great Manly ManIm sure Choc would take the gig
Short answer, no. He was a gifted player but that doesn’t automatically translate into being a great coach.Choc . Great Manly Man
But is he a Great Manly Coach ?
Where is the money coming from?I think he is a serious contender. His coaching record is light years ahead of Anthony Siebold. Are you aware of his career record? There has been a lot of winning to go with his time on the Gold Coast.
To be clear, I can cop losing when the team is moving in the right direction. I don't think we are moving in the right direction. I think we got lucky against the Bulldogs in the semi last year before getting destroyed by the Roosters. How Siebold didn't recruit a backrower in the off season is downright ridiculous. A decision that exposes his cluelessness compared to other coaches. Then there's his ongoing misuse of the bench.
Holbrook can coach but I think roosters have tied him up til 2027
Oh, his Uk record means nothing? According to who? You?Where is the money coming from?
Burbo was re-signed to a longer contract, not sure the coach is responsible for that,a local jr and brother was always going to signed.
Then there is Ola
Chee Kam was signed because there is no room under the cap.
I am not saying he has not made mistakes but citing Holbrook UK record means nothing,he was punted from the Tits.
It’s well known Bellamy will only bring on players who have certain character traits that fit into the culture he is creating (regardless of talent). I find it amazing that no other coach seems to adopt this and use him as a role model. Or perhaps they do, and can’t do it, or give up?If Bellamy was coach Id bet 3/4 of the players would be shipped off.
TBH, I don’t think Choc has the emotional, or even strategical IG to coach at the highest level. I love Choc, and happy for him to prove me wrong (as a sausage-roll eating numpty).Choc . Great Manly Man

I can't see Choc as a head coach. Maybe 40 years ago.TBH, I don’t think Choc has the emotional, or even strategical IG to coach at the highest level. I love Choc, and happy for him to prove me wrong (as a sausage-roll eating numpty).
