While we are on the subject, I notice that Biffs profile has either been suspended or deleted. No doubt many are rejoicing at that, but it was apparent from his last few posts that something wasn’t quite right with him. At the time I just thought it was maybe one too many sherbets, but now I’m not so sure.

So Biff, if you are out there and reading this as a guest, I hope you are ok and you are looking after yourself. There is a lot of heated back and forth on these forums sometimes, and I know I have been just as guilty as others, but ultimately it’s all just blowing off steam. Hope you didn’t take anything personally. No doubt you will admit you could be a bit overblown and repetitive, but I never saw anything you posted that could have been construed as anything other than passion for the Sea Eagles. I always took your posts in that spirit, and enjoyed our brief connection, even if it did probably degenerate into drivel on occasion.

To those “alt identity” proponents, let’s just park that crap for the purposes of this post. Hopefully a mod can confirm that Biff and I are indeed separate people.

His styles of footy, the expansive type has been very entertaining at times, but there seems a lack of focus on the core area's of footy like solid defence, field position, line speed ect.
He has done some decent things and probably been given a tough gig at times with the unbalanced squad he took over from day 1 and a heck of lot of injuries.
The thing I "don't like" with Seibold and is tough to watch is excues and acceptance after losses....this to me is a negative and again, simply my opinion and just maybe the bloke we see at the presser is a different face to that he shows the players...but what makes me question this is during those tight games you have this feeling the opposition look that but hungrier and willing, just like Newcastle the other night....which shows the accountability within the playing group is perhaps not where it should be.
The truth I feel is inbetween, as he definitely has some good factors about his coaching and if he could add a little more resilience and steel to the side, would be doing better and much of the negative post would dry up.
Fact is, he needs to improve, but is often being the whipping boy when in fact, the players and other factors also contribute to Manly's below par performances.
As for Seibold copping some baggings, some is fair game, but just maybe those same posters could give him credit when Manly play good footy and get Wins....the wind has to blow both ways and there's more credability in a post if there is fairness, otherwise it kinda seems like a vendetta which loses it's impact.

Odd isn't it that he was all about creating camaraderie among the players with little coffee groups etc and yet they don't really feel like they're happy to put it all on the line for each other. Always delighted to celebrate together after a try but when the going gets tough, there's no glue holding them together.

Not that, I imagine, the whole DCE situation has helped in that regard.

Fair explanation, and that makes sense now. For what it's worth, I didn't see elsewhere other people asking you for this explanation. I am sorry if this is a common pestering, I haven't seen that, and that's on me. Was just confused about this without the backstory, especially given the allegations of everyone having a second account... Which is such a stupid thing for a Sea Eagles forum.

I am not 47MVEagles (you didn't tag them correctly). I lurked on here for about a month prior to joining in 2023. Prior to that, I was completely unaware of the site's existence. I went on the Facebook groups for maybe a week before deleting Facebook. Only other place I'm on is r/NRL, and that's it. Obviously I have a life outside of these anonymous accounts, but I'd prefer to keep them seperate.

I agree LC. There have been many public pronouncements that we are in a “premiership window” which is completely contrary to any notion of playing a “long game.” We are desperately trying to win a comp whilst DCE and Tom are still around. Otherwise it’s another long barren period coming.

On Seibold, I will not be making any further comments in this or any other thread, given 1. It has all been said. 2. It creates too much angst from those in the pro camp, and 3. The results speak for themselves.

We tried to compensate the injuries suffered by the younger players, by signing players who because they are over 30 are more prone to injuries themselves.

Presumably it made him feel better about himself by adopting a delusion that anybody who doesn’t support Seibold must be one person. When I challenged him on it and offered to have an independent member who lives in the Penrith area visit both myself and Biff to verify we are separate people (for an agreed bet that he could nominate the size of) he backed down. Alternatively, we could have arranged for a mod to FaceTime both of us, with the proceeds of the agreed wager donated towards site upkeep.

Despite this, the lie/delusion continues to be pedalled by a number of people on this forum, some of whom I thought would know better. It appears Biff has either been suspended or walked away, and those involved can no doubt take some sanctimonious pleasure that they have won their little social media victory. Well done. I get that Biff can and did rub people the wrong way, but his last few posts were completely off the rails, so I do wonder if there was something else going on with him. I guess we will never know.

Personally, I take the view that it takes all kinds in this world. Biff was over the top and prone to repetition, but I could live with that, as he was only ever being a passionate sea eagle supporter. The same goes for Bozo. They aren’t to everyone’s taste, but I do wonder why those people don’t just press “ignore” and move on with their lives. I think that says more about the people complaining than those they drive away from this site.

Yes we are going very poorly currently but not all of that is due to the coach.

It is not all Seibold fault
But the Majority of it is because the Head coach overseas all aspects of recruitment , selections and game plans which makes him accountable for his teams results in a results driven business
