Simione Laifai

Hopefully a case of “Looks like Taniela, plays like Haumole”

In that brief footage, it does appear that he needs some first grade conditioning. Let a few experienced big boys show him how to train and prepare himself for the next level. Maybe an off-season triathlon like Terrell May did before his tigers debut

TBH I'd be happy if we had two Tanielas

as long as he’s not a ‘looke like taniela, plays like trex’

Doubt if he would have been elevated to the top 30 squad unless the coaching staff are fairly sure that he has some definite ability and potential .
Probably has to have some time in Flegg [ if he hasn 't already ]and at a more competitive level and see how he can manage that .
Certainly does not lack any attacking or quite reasonable skill level with most likely still some growing to do and to have even a more robust physique .
Defence and higher intensity is always the main test to play or compete at a higher level but definitely has quite a few things going for him right now

Seems like he has been promoted back to NSW Cup after a really strong game last week against the Warriors team in Flegg. Scattered defenders from every kick off return he took & made plenty of post contact metres. Hopefully he takes this opportunity & makes the bench spot his own going forward.

Hell yeah !

He can be a very poor in defence. May be it's aerobic capacity may be it's just lazy.

Not sure those Big kids learn much more other than how to be useless and not use there body playing against kids half there size.

Even Princess Nella's development over the years has been frustrating and painfully slow.

Play this one against men, so he cant just rely on his size. He might struggle in the short term, but he'll be useless without some tuff love.

Simi Laiafi: 21 minutes played 7 runs for 83 metres including 29 post contract metres. Best stat might be 10 tackles 0 misses.
Had the least amount of minutes by far & still ended up being our top forward for run metres🔥 (not including Schoupp who made a line break at centre)

This is what we needed to see from him to show he’s the real deal, well done to him. Still only 18-19 years old too👏 If he cracks 1st grade I think he will become a fan favourite quick once people start to see his charges from kick offs

He makes back fence Brown look like he's running in quicksand.

Ola can be his defence and fitness coach show him how to play 80min, 2twins tower T-Rex in our pack exciting times ahead.

Yep it's still rugby league when all is said and done. Smaller terrier forwards with line speed are all well and good, but a couple of big bodies among them creates a more dangerous balance. Just tackling the big blokes, even when they don't bust the line or break tackles, still takes juice out of the tacklers.

Bring in Bully and Talau when they're gassed been awhile since we had big mobile bodies in our pack, last I remember was Kosef, Menzies, Gartner.

I didn't get to Brookie until the 2nd half and what I saw he was certainly keen to work. Pulled off a number of consecutive tackles. Had a few runs. He certainly looks like he has potential. A good off season should see him fill out more and get some fitness.

He looked gassed pretty early so still needs plenty of conditioning. Didn't mind the look of Pus'avase yesterday. My have some potential.
It’s a fair call mate, his fitness is definitely going to go up a few levels over the off season. But to be fair on him let’s compare to the other guys in the middle yesterday.

Patolo played 47 minutes with 7 runs.
Sykes 62 minutes with 9 runs.
Pua’avase 37 minutes with 8 runs.
Simi 21 minutes with 7 runs.

He worked really hard while on the field so I don’t really blame him for being gassed out. I think the plan was go 100% for short minutes & make a big impact which he did.
