So is Myles nose out of joint cos he's not skipper?

Looks more like his foreheads out of joint.

And i thought getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars should be motivation enough.

Why would it? He gets paid the same amount whether he makes 150 mtrs or 1.5 mtrs......

Interesting... if you look at the first five weeks of the comp, Nate made close to 40 tackles per game, and was making between 10 and 15 hit ups. Personally I think he does a lot of good work in the ruck that goes unnoticed too, using his experience or massive head to dominate and keep a player down for an extra second. Then he gets injured, and those stats drop away... I used to be glad when he got on the field, cos our defence around the ruck seemed more solid when he was there. I hope he gets on the field fully fit and proves to us all that we are not, in fact, his retirement plan. I think he has plenty to offer the young forwards coming through.

And just like that... @Freagle emerges as frontrunner for most controversial post of 2017.
Shows it's all about opinion....we all get them right and wrong....if he was not a SOO big name player and a bloke stepping up from Qld Cup, would have been punted on 2016....absolute slug performance....then again, that's simply my opinion and that's what makes this forum good...difference of opinion yet we stick solid...

If only he stopped smoking he would be able to run better

Facts like that are not allowed around here, please stick to unsubstantiated rumours.

but yes it was obvious to see he picked up and injury and his form died in the arse, the question I have is will this repeat this year or can he remain injury free and provide good value or is his age catching up and we are going to see a repeat of last year?

Yup I had no major issues with him defensively. He was solid enough in the middle ... Lacked the aggression I thought we needed from him and didn't inspire as I hoped he might. He was bought to be a forward leader and that's the main let down for mine. Poor body language, a lack of talk and not setting the standard for the other guys to follow really disappointed me. Keep hearing how fantastic he is OFF the field with the forwards - like to see that translated into onfield performance.

Miles can never be Captain. Sure,he has a massive head, but these days you need an extra long neck... Go the Turtle!
I think Bill Shorten might be his brother from another mother. Massive head!

Yes, on PAPER he has all the attributes to bring the same as BK did - state and international level player, leader off the field, etc. now we just need a slice of that BK aggression and willingness to lead by example. Or at the very least I'd like to see him smash Ennis with his forehead...oh wait, that ship has sailed. Well at least we can sit back and remember when Skivvi knocked him out with a late shoulder.
