If this has been discussed I apologise ... but does GreenTurd have a dilemma brewing .... much has been written on the NRL crackdown and the penalty and sin bin festival of the opening months of 2018 ....

yet .... here we are ... SOO ... and #Buzzthebarfly , Blocker, spud and others are imploring the NRL to put the whistle away and let the game flow .... one even said "let the best cheats win" ...... even quoting that the penalty count in recent SOO games have been as low as 5 or 6 ...

One commentator has said that the game will be watched by 4mil people, the last thing we need is 26 penalties and 3 sin binnings ....

So here is my point ... if GreenTurd does a 180 degree backflip with pike and half twist .... IS this an admission by the NRL that players off-side, holding in the tackle, wrestling ... is in fact a better game? .. a better spectacle?

Or does he stand by his convictions and instruct the ref's to pull up everything and use the sin bin ... are we going to see 26 penalties ... or are we going to see grenTurd change spots again ...?

The rules have always been different in Origin though as in laying in the ruck for 1/2 hour, high shots undetected, offsides, markers all over the shop.
I do agree it will be interesting to see how these penalties flow after this big crackdown....

One of the reasons I turned off origin, another being the big headed 3, is the sanitation of it.
The initial 20 minutes of mayhem is gone.
That won't come back, but origin is still largely, reffed with somewhat of a blind eye.
Normally blind towards Queensland's indiscretions, but the game flows along at its own speed.
If f*ckface orders it to be reffed like a club game, I can easily lose interest again.
We now have a new NSW team and changes to Queensland, I wish Ponga was playing, so greenturd, leave it alone.

Fair to say that a good proportion of viewers [ and N R L followers ] who will watch the S O O tonight would find it hard to comprehend if the whistle bowers do go a bit more lenient on the penalty front in order to provide a better spectacle and entertaining game and yet have adopted more pedantic and game spoiling high penalty counts in an average N R L fixture so far this season .Greenberg and some of his associates are and have been notorious for just making thing up as they go along with administration matters and regular consistency is practically a foreign term for them. S O O is no doubt a more high profile and higher standard game and event but again if one set of guidelines is going to be applied to this contest to enhance the appeal of it , why should the average and regular N R L club supporter be also denied this better referring approach .

Todd will change his spots, I expect a game where the players will be at each other early with tactics and behavior that has been largely taken out of club football. It'll be an "Old Style Origin" designed to appeal to the Melbourne crowd and IMHO, that will aid the Toads and help ensure that the Mexicans can cheer for them to get a win over the Mighty Blues; remember Victoria is traditionally anti NSW. A win for Todd is for the Mexicans to get more interested in Rugby League and bugger a good clean game.

No matter the outcome spin , spin and more spin. If its a great game todd will be vindicated. If not he will claim the refs are in charge and he does not micro manage, and the refs are accountable

This years penaltyathon is only there because previous years he hasnt done the job, which is conveniently glossed over.Tonights game is on a hiding to nowhere as a result.

Regardless of what we think there will be no result unless channel 9 has concerns and with tonights game likely to be a ratings winner, due to renewed enthusiasm the nrl wont give 2 ****s what the game is like as a spectacle

The penalties might be a little higher than normal SOO games. But i would be surprised if we'll see to many discretionary penalties eg. Crowding, foot on the play the ball, marker not square, hand on the ball, unless the Blues blow out to a big lead, then scrub all aforementioned indiscretions.

I didn't want to go there but when backed into a corner....

"Devoid" is always used as an adjective, while "void" can be used as an adjective, a verb, or a noun. As adjectives, "void" and "devoid" mean basically the same. "Void" means empty; "devoid" means empty, but only after something has been taken away. "Devoid" is usually followed by "of."
