Space!

"The risk of any satellite reentry causing injury is extremely remote. The annual risk of an individual human being injured by space debris is under 1 in 100 billion. In comparison, a person is about 65 000 times more likely to be struck by lightning."

Still, a 495kg lander... the chances of a human surviving that landing on you would be far less than 1 in 100 billion!
(Be funny if it landed on Putin though!)

This lander (as stated) was designed to withstand something like 300g's, etc. So there's a good chance it'll be impacting land/sea.

Cruising around since the '50's though. Sounds like some ST'ers. lol

NASA’s Lucy Spacecraft Completes Asteroid Donaldjohanson Flyby

The Lucy operations team has confirmed NASA’s Lucy spacecraft phoned home after its encounter with the main belt asteroid Donaldjohanson. The spacecraft’s closest approach to the asteroid occurred at 1:51 pm EDT on Sunday.
Initial information indicates that the spacecraft is in good health. The team has commanded the spacecraft to start sending the data collected during the encounter back to Earth, a process that will take up to a week.
The team will analyze the data to better understand the relatively young asteroid and to ensure that the spacecraft and team are well prepared to observe the mission’s main targets: the Jupiter Trojan asteroids, beginning in 2027.

The rich guys though are waiting for a peak at Psyche, an asteroid believed to have been initially part of a much larger body which seems to have disintegrated and left the core of that body naked. That core is chock full of metals to dream of, far more than any other asteroid yet spotted. Yum yum says Musk

I see Winnie the Pooh is over there at the moment, two birds, one satellite?

This is the latest available ‘ground track’. At the current predicted time of reentry, the capsule would be located approximately 10 km over the red marker, labelled COIW (centre of impact window). It is here that we currently expect the satellite to break up, but there is still a high uncertainty in the precise location where it will fall.

Look out W.A.!!!!!!!!
