I'm with Frank, Symonds shouldn't be picked at centre, he is a 2nd rower and that should be his spot

We saw Buhrer at centre last season, lets not go down that path again when we have specialist centres available

T. Symonds is mobile , fast and strong . He is a good defender and can break the line and the oppositions hearts . Athletic second rowers are affective playing centre .

After seeing Symonds on Sunday in centre, i think he would be the logical choice. Did great when Matai was off.

Esi Tonga is a specialist centre and Farrar is there as well, either one of those 2

Well yeah but the reason he's learning the wing is because he's a specialist centre. That's how he came to Manly. It makes sens to give him a go in his real position and give one of the promising young blokes a chance in first grade.
Anyway, Tooves said Matai is playing so it's irrelevant, for now.

Play centres at centre. I hate the idea of moving wingers in nearly as much as i hate the idea of moving 2nd rowers out.

Defense must be spot in in the centres.

Tonga surely has to get the spot - he was a centre previously...if we werent going to throw him in at centre why did we buy him ??


Symonds will end up our bench man who can play anywhere if injuries during the game occur, eg Jamie Buhrer last year...but a 2nd rower in best case scenario. Hes a lot bigger these days then when he was a skinny(ish) kid first in grade & mixing 2nd row/centres for the roosters

Granted Symonds looked good at centre, however he wasn't defending against another centre as Gagai had gone off injured. I would not judge his ability based on that performance.

If Steve was out I would much rather see Hiku come in.
